A message for our wonderful community of readers and writers:

After receiving some messages enquiring about the Hartland Book Festival, we would like to let you know that Resurgence will not be running the Hartland Book Festival in 2026.

Whilst we will miss the magic of the festival, we have a special reason for our shift in Schedule: Resurgence is celebrating its 60th Anniversary! To honour six decades of environmental and spiritual leadership, our team are focusing energy on a series of landmark celebratory events throughout the year, including:

- The Art of Resurgence: An exhibition at the Barnstaple Museum from 23 May – 18 July showcasing the rich history of Resurgence

- The Resurgence Garden Party: A chance to gather on 6 June in the beautiful gardens of Trematon Castle and celebrate with Satish Kumar and House of Hackney founders Frieda Gormley & Javvy M Royle over drinks and a buffet-style lunch

- R60: One with the Earth: Enjoy a rich melting pot of inspiring talks, thought-provoking conversations, stimulating panel discussions and stirring performances at Wadham College in Oxford for our grand 60th celebration on 12 September

Thank you for your continued support and for being part of the Resurgence story. We hope to see you at some of these celebratory events!

Join us for an evening with Jackie Morris & Tamsin Abbott - Wild Folk: Tales from the Stones 📚✨

Local readers and writers might enjoy this beautiful free online event with storyteller artists Jackie Morris and Tamsin Abbott, on Thursday 4 December, 7–8.30pm (Zoom).

They’ll be reading from their new book Wild Folk: Tales from the Stones, a magical collection of seven illustrated tales. They also be talking about their creative collaboration storytelling, painting and creating glass art.

It’s a lovely chance to hear directly from two much-loved artists and to support The Resurgence Trust, Hartland’s local charity, which connects people to Nature, to each other and to themselves. 🌿

🎟️ Free to join (donations welcome): https://www.tickettailor.com/events/theresurgencecentre/1890171/r/hbf
