Great trip out today helping with a scientific research project. Seeing the Shiants from a different view

First proper trip to the Shiants this season and as always they do not disappoint. Brilliant weather and lots of different birds. Amazing to switch off the engine and just drift amongst them. The trip was topped off with a couple of pods of feeding dolphins and a minke whale. 🐳 🐬😍

This spell of great weather has enabled us to get out and enjoy the waters around here. On Thursday we had a trip to the Shiant Islands, very different without the normal summer covering of birds, but still spectacular.

On Friday we had the pleasure of taking Juliette and her friends out for her birthday and we were all rewarded with a visit form a couple of pods of dolphins.

Here are some photos of the two days and also some dolphin videos to follow. I make no apology for sharing so many of them, they never fail to excite when you see them approaching the boat😀. And the excitement of the kids (and adults) made the day even more enjoyable
