Due to a matters out-with our control, The Hamilton Beer festival scheduled to take place on Saturday 13th July has been postponed. More information and refunds will be available at point of purchase, however ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their tickets as a rescheduled date will be announced in the coming days. We apologise for this and look forward to seeing everyone at Hamilton Beer Festival on the new date.

Are you joining us at this weekends event? Have a look at some of our German beer on offer🍺🥨😍

Beer 1 - ERDINGER WEISSBIER ABV 5.3%
This classic wheat beer blends gently spicy malt aromas with mildly bitter hops. Its secret lies in its unique brewing yeasts which provide fruity notes and an unmistakably fresh flavour. The finishing touch for every Erdinger Weissbier is a further specialty: the “Bayerische Edelreifung” or double maturity method.

Beer 2 - NICO KOLN STYLE LAGER ABV 4.8%
Pale golden, Tettnang hops prominent on the aroma with grassy, herbal and spicy notes. Light on the palate, a touch of bready maltiness, with more noble hop character. Dry and easy drinking.

Beet 3 - DRYGATE TONE BURST RHUBARB BERLINER WEISSE ABV 3.2% VEGAN
A rhubarb-augmented Berliner-style sour. Soft tartness and fresh fruit come together to create a nostalgic experience, reminiscent of eating raw rhubarb dipped in sugar.

Beer 4 - ABK HELL DAS BLAUE ABV 5%
Brewed in the medieval town of Kaufbeuren, Bavaria and dating back to 1308, the ABK brewery is renowned for its superb beers. Lightly golden, with a soft, sweet aroma and floral hop notes. The taste is full-bodied grain with lots of green apple and light but persistent hints of pine and herbs, with a slight bitterness that persists through to the finish.

Beer 5 - ABK DUNKEL URBAYERISCH ABV 5%
Gloriously dark, rich and fruity aromatic beer, with notes of caramel and dark chocolate.

Beer 6 - FÜRSTENBERG PREMIUM LAGER ABV 5.3%

This gorgeous hefeweizen is brewed at the Weihenstephan Monastery Brewery—a brewery that is over 1000 years old and carries with it the distinction of being the world’s oldest existing brewery. The Calton Taproom

Located in the heart of Glasgow's East End Entertainment quarter and the iconic Barras Market, you will find over 20 different taps with carefully selected craft beers on rotation, dedicated to the best brewers in the West of Scotland and further afield. With so many Gypsy Brewers local to the west coast, The Calton Taproom’s priority is to support local, however we have friends in far away places doing great things with beer and aim to showcase these as well.

The Calton Taproom will also stock over 120 beers and will have many limited editions from the our fantastic local breweries right on our doorstep. From - NEIPA’s to DIPA’s, Porter to Amber ale’s, Saisons to Sours or stouts to wheat beers, the choice is endless so join us as we celebrate the dynamic home brewing and gypsy brewing scene that exists in Glasgow and globally.

Our taproom is also home to some of the best mixologists in Glasgow and they have an outstanding wine & spirit collection at their disposal so there is sure to be something for everybody to enjoy.

The Calton Taproom tasting room & bottle shop will give a platform to the talented and passionate gypsy brewers from Glasgow to showcase their beer. We can’t wait to share our range of new and interesting brews from existing independent brewers and gypsy brewers throughout the craft beer world in our bottle shop.
