STAR-GAZING! We are looking forward enormously to our next concert, one that will really showcase the strength of our Bösendorfer. Olga Stezhko, a Belorusian pianist now based in Cambridge, has chosen a superb selection of works for piano from some of the world's greatest composers. A Cambridge University Artist By-Fellow with a special interest in astrophysics, Olga is sure to bring a touch of stardust to her performance at St Mary's on Sunday 15 February. Do join us for it!

Happy New Year to music lovers in East Lothian - and beyond. Join us for a one-of-a-kind interactive Jukebox concert experience!
We are thrilled to present the mercurially brilliant pianist Tom Poster and the sublime violinist Elena Urioste in an inventive and eclectic mix of pieces brought together under the title ‘Jukebox’, a Lockdown project which won a 2020 Royal Philharmonic Society Inspiration Award. The duo presents their trademark eclectic selection of music, ranging from classical gems to Tom’s Great American Songbook arrangements, from jazz standards to specially commissioned works and more! A memorable start to the musical year!

It's not too late to buy tickets for our next concert, this Sunday at 3pm: a remarkable chance to hear two of the greatest works for piano ever written, performed by a musician whose performances are marked by a deep sense of narrative and structure, with daring and thoughtful programmes; a musician whose artistry invites both head and heart into the concert hall.

Thank you all who came to play Haddington Concert Society's magnificent Bösendorfer concert-grand piano. Will these little fingers one day play Debussy – Clair de Lune?

Last week, our Bösendorfer grand piano was given a good overhaul by Norman Motion, doyen of piano tuners, and is now as sparkling as it was when we first bought it, almost 20 years ago! Just in time for James Willshire's superb 150th-anniversary tribute to Ravel last Sunday, which revealed the magic (and in Scarbo, the devilry!) of the piano. It was a tour de force.
The Bösendorfer will be back in action at our next concert, the final one of the season, on Sunday 9 March, when the Odyssey Piano Trio will be performing.

A terrific start to the new year: the Slideshow Trombone Quartet came to Haddington on Sunday and blew us away with their enthusiasm and talent, attracting one of this season's largest audiences so far and treating us to an unexpected 'world premiere' of a mash-up of 76 Trombones and Happy Birthday composed to celebrate the birthday of an audience member! Great fun.
