This year marks the 60th Anniversary of Guisborough & Great Ayton Rotary Club, the driving force behind the Guisborough Beer Festival. The Club is holding a commemorative dinner at Gisborough Hall when Bob Champion, Grand National winning jockey and one-time Guisborian' will be our guest speaker. OK, this doesn't have much to do with beer, except that those attending will get a free bottle of the Rotary Club's Anniversary Old Ale, brewed for us by Guisborough Brewery. Just in case anyone is interested in coming, here are the details:-

There is a super mini beer festival being held today (28th) at Guisborough Brewery and again tomorrow 1pm to 8pm. 8 beers from across the country plus 6 from the brewery. There is also cider, soft drinks and hot food. Don't miss it.

Sad news. There will be no Guisborough Beer Festival in 2025.
Guisborough and Great Ayton Rotary Club, which had run all previous eleven festivals with help from Cleveland CAMRA and Guisborough Round Table, no longer has the resources to stage the festival in 2025. The Round Table has ceased to exist.
It had been hoped that another organisation with previous experience of running a beer festival, would take on the Guisborough Festival but they in turn found that they were unable to find enough volunteers. Last year’s 11th Guisborough Beer Festival looks as though it will be the last.
Guisborough Beer Festival has been a huge success, raising over £50,000 for local charities, organisations and individuals as well as providing a vibrant social occasion for hundreds of people each year. St Nicholas Church has benefited financially from hiring the Parish Hall and providing food and light refreshments. It will be missed.
Grateful thanks go to all those who attended the festival so enthusiastically, to our many sponsors who supported the festival so generously and to the many volunteers who helped so tirelessly. Without their efforts the festival would never have happened
