We’re incredibly excited to announce our first tenant to Guisborough Town Hall, Shorty's Gins!
Rachael “Shorty” Conisbee is an entrepreneurial powerhouse in Teesside, and we couldn’t be prouder to tell you that Rachael will be bringing her multi-award winning London Dry Gin to the Town Hall. As well as having retail space on the ground floor, Rachael will be distilling her own Town Hall gin on site!
Rachael comes to Guisborough with a wealth of experience and accolades. Rachael's Endeavour Gin is among the best in the world after winning gold at the Women's Wine and Spirit Awards last year, and earlier this year, Shorty's Gins was handed the honour of appearing in a luxury coffee table book being published to mark the Queen's 95th birthday.
Rachael has been involved in the design process for the Town Hall for some time, being able to shape the space to her own specifications which she hopes will make her business run smoother. There will be areas for packaging and labelling, storage, pallet access, retail and the all important distillery.
Looking to the future, Shorty’s Gin will look to expand the business, looking to create jobs right here in Guisborough, such as a shop manager and train apprentice distillers.
We’re sure you’re thrilled as we are to welcome Shorty’s Gin into this new phase of the Town Halls life, you can keep up to date on this exciting adventure on Facebook (Shorty's Gins) and www.shortysgins.com. An article has been produced on Teesside Live here (https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/one-woman-gin-business-set-22058118), including a full interview with Rachael.
