OK, so the sun is popping its head out and we are looking good for a relatively dry afternoon which is great news.

Just to recap. It's £10 on the door for entry which has to be paid in cash. All bars in the tents are also cash only whilst the bar in the Clubhouse is cash or card.

Unfortunately no dogs are allowed. We are far from being hound haters but it's the very few irresponsible owners who ruin it for the responsible many.

We would ask you to kindly refrain from wearing football tops, especially those promoting the two teams across the ever widening divide residing in the east end and south side of Glasgow. No need for such nonsense at a family day out.

The ground is essentially licensed for the day so it is illegal to bring your own alcohol. Bags can and will be searched, alcohol confiscated and those caught imbibing their own grog will be asked to leave.

Tickets priced £8 can now be purchased in advance from the bar during the following hours:

Wed - 6pm until 8pm.
Thu - 8pm until 11.30 pm.
Fri - 5pm until 11.30pm.
Sat - 12pm until 11.30pm.
Sun - 12.30pm until 10.30pm.

Please be aware that ALL TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED USING CASH, NO CARD PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Payment at the gate on the day will be £10, also paid for in cash only.

This Saturday, a professional film crew will be at Greenock Cricket Club to capture the story of our Club as part of our British Gas promotional campaign and the launch of our upcoming Crowdfunder.

This one day of filming will become the face of our campaign over the coming months and help us secure £20,000 from the community, which will then unlock a further £40,000 pledged by British Gas.

Simply put...The better Saturday looks, the stronger our campaign becomes.

This isn't just for existing junior Members.

If you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours or know a family looking for something a little different...

Bring them along!

No experience is necessary.

All equipment is provided.

It's completely free and designed to be a relaxed, fun introduction to cricket.

The more children taking part, the better the atmosphere and the stronger the message we can share with our community.

Please invite another family if you can.

Great oaks from little acorns grow.

After the success of the recent Mini Gig on the Green, we are now getting ready for main event scheduled for Sunday September 6th under the marquee at Glenpark.

Traditionally we offer up and coming home grown Inverclyde based, but not exclusively, bands an opportunity to play a 20 - 30 minute slot to showcase their talents in front of a large and very enthusiastic audience.

So, we are looking for bands, duets or solo artists who are keen to take up the challenge and go for it.
