If you havenโ€™t made it along yet, nowโ€™s the time to pop in and experience this major new exhibition, bringing together fourteen large-scale paintings made over the last three years by internationally renowned artist Fraser Taylor.

Works referencing sites from the artistโ€™s studio to the coast of Orkney are interwoven with the human form, creating a layered space between figuration and abstraction.

๐ŸŒˆ ๐Ÿ’› Shining a Light for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month ๐ŸŒˆ ๐Ÿ’›

The Beacon is lit up rainbow to support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, as a symbol of hope, strength and support for children and families affected by childhood cancer. ๐ŸŒˆ

We were contacted by a local mother whose daughter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) in 2020 and underwent chemotherapy until 2022. Thankfully, she remains in remission and is doing really well. ๐Ÿ’›

Childhood cancers can have a devastating impact on young lives, and continued research is essential to finding the best and most effective treatments for children.

So tonight the Beacon will shine brightly for all the children currently facing cancer, for those in remission, and for the families supporting them every step of the way. ๐ŸŒˆ

The Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland is back to perform on behalf of the Scottish Fire Brigades Heritage Trust.

Returning by popular demand, the Army's State Band have just performed in Australia and New Zealand, and join us at the Beacon after their rousing performances at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Featuring a range of musical styles, they'll provide a spectacular evening of entertainment for the whole family.

All proceeds from this concert will go to the Scottish Fire Brigades Heritage Trust and the Army Benevolent Fund the Soldiers Charity.
