What’s on in June & July at the Beacon...
The Beacon continues to be a second home for so many people across Inverclyde - a place to come together, enjoy unforgettable performances and feel part of something special and unique. Over the next couple of months, there’s truly something for everyone across our busy summer programme.
June kicks off with powerful local storytelling in National Theatre of Scotland's Stand and Deliver: The Lee Jeans Sit-In, followed by an evening of songs and stories with the legendary Toyah.
There’s plenty for families and young audiences too, with Gaggle from Tenterhooks offering a welcoming and inclusive experience for children with complex additional support needs and their families, while the dazzling Magic Light Productions' Puppet Spectacular Glow Show brings colour, music and larger-than-life fun to the summer holidays.
Live music fans are spoiled for choice across July with Goodbye Mr Mackenzie, EJB Promotions & Events' Forever Clapton, Jj Gilmour, Springsteen Acoustic Sessions Out of the Blue - A Celebration of Joni Mitchell and the feel-good hits of Oh What a Night! We also welcome an evening of classical music with violinist Inês Alves F. Soares and pianist Baichuan Hui, plus a special Beacon Jazz Club performance from Sarah King & John Merrill.
Theatre audiences can enjoy The Provy Wummin from Arts Enigma Theatre Productions, bringing another brilliant night of storytelling to the Beacon stage.
Art lovers can explore our current exhibition: Beyond Belief by Joanie Jack until the 27 June, followed by our annual open call Summer Exhibition, running from 4 July - 22 August.
Whether you’re joining us for a family day out, live music, theatre, exhibitions or simply a great night out with friends, we can’t wait to welcome both familiar faces and first-time visitors through the doors this summer.
