The countdown is on for four days of colourful lights, exciting rides and classic fairground fun right in the heart of town. Bring your friends and family along and enjoy the atmosphere!

📅 9th–12th April

Opening times:
🎠 Thursday: 4pm – 11pm
🎠 Friday: 11am – 11pm
🎠 Saturday: 11am – 11pm
🎠 Sunday: 12pm – 6pm

📍 Location: Market Place, Brewery Plain Car Park and Fuller's Hill Car Park

🚧 Please note: These car parks will be closed from Wednesday 8th April at 9am until 9pm Sunday 12th while the fair is in town.

🎉 What a fantastic evening at the Mayor’s Quiz & Chips Night! 🎉

It was wonderful to see so many people come together at Great Yarmouth Town Hall for an evening of fun, food and friendly competition.

💛 Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the event, an amazing £652 was raised for the Mayor’s chosen charities: Gorleston and Great Yarmouth Lifeboat, Great Yarmouth Memory Club, James Paget Hosptial Charities and Dusmagrik Young People's Theatres.

Events like this show just how strong and supportive our community is—thank you for making it such a memorable night!

A friendly reminder that everyone is welcome to attend the Commonwealth Flag Raising Ceremony outside Great Yarmouth Town Hall on Monday, March 9.

⏰ 9.50am – Ceremony and blessings begin
🚩 10am – The flag will be raised by Carl Annison, Mayor of the Borough of Great Yarmouth

The event marks Commonwealth Day, celebrating the Commonwealth of Nations and the shared values that unite its 56 member countries, including friendship, diversity, cooperation and peace.

This year’s theme, “Unlocking Opportunities Together for a Prosperous Commonwealth,” highlights the importance of working together to create opportunities for communities across the globe.

Join us for another wonderful afternoon with the Great Yarmouth Heritage Guides as we take a nostalgic trip back in time.

This month, we’ll be reminiscing about treasured memories of Hopton in the 1950s and 60s — when the holiday camps were the heartbeat of summer and village life had a very different rhythm once winter arrived.
