As you may know, the committee are partial to the odd donut so we do love it when all of the local businesses open as we ourselves like to spend money with them 🍩🍦

Scorecards are called out before each game starts from the Pavilion.

When your game has finished, please check the cards before signing and then the winner should bring the cards back to the Pavilion. This allows the committee to track the scores in good time and prepare for the next round.

Calling out the scorecards before each game also gives us more opportunities to publicise our sponsors 🎉

The festival takes place for 4 weeks, starting on a bank holiday weekend on a seafront.

A great way to cover parking costs is to buy a rover ticket for 3 (£19.60) or 8 (£45) days which also covers various other council car parks, not just the one closest to the greens.

If you leave enough time for a little walk, there are also plenty of free spaces to be found, if you know where to look 👀

Every year, we ask if we can have a special bowls parking ticket but alas every year we are unsuccessful. We could ask to close the car park so that only bowlers can park there but that comes at a cost based on lost income. Without getting a quote, we can tell you, that's an additional cost we simply can't afford!

The festival starts with a budget of £0 and aims to finish with a budget of £0.

We ask lots of local businesses to sponsor the festival, in return they receive various benefits such as posts on our social media, banners at the festival, advert in the programme and to be associated with a tournament amongst other things.

Without sponsors, the festival simply wouldn't be able to go ahead and we are most grateful to any business that wants to join us.

Sponsorship money all goes into 'the pot' not specifically designated to a tournament unless at the request of a sponsor.

Then once we've covered our costs, the rest is divided up for prize money.
