🌸 Could You Help Shape the 2027 Garden Festival? 🌸
The Great Ouseburn Garden Festival is run entirely by volunteers, and we're looking for some new faces to join the team.

We're currently seeking volunteers for a range of roles, including two committee vacancies:
✅ Chairperson
✅ Marketing & Communications

🌸Join The Team For The 2027 Garden Festival!🌸

As planning begins for next year’s Garden Festival, we’re looking for a few new people to join the team.

Due to other commitments, two key committee roles are now vacant – Chairperson and Marketing & Communications. These roles are important in keeping the festival thriving, and we’d love to hear from anyone who enjoys bringing people together or has skills they’d like to share. We’re also looking for general volunteers to support everything from early planning through to festival‑day activities.

To help people find out more, we’ll be holding an open meeting in September — a friendly chance to meet the committee, hear what’s involved, and see whether you might like to be part of the team. More details will follow soon, but if you’d like to register your interest or chat informally about any role, please email [email protected].

🌸 We’re Delighted To Share The Final Total Of £22,500 Raised! 🌸
Thanks to everyone who opened their gardens, volunteered, baked, sang, poured Pimm’s, bought tickets, or simply came along and enjoyed the day - you’ve helped raise an incredible £22,500 for village good causes.

This year, the funds will be shared as follows:
• £6,000 — Great Ouseburn Primary School
• £6,000 — St Mary’s Church
• £6,000 — Village Hall
• £2,500 — UOCT (Townend Field)
• £2,000 — Cricket Club

Alongside these main allocations, Coffee & Chat will also receive £150 to support the hire of the Village Hall, helping this much‑loved community group continue its regular sessions.

We are extremely grateful for the support, energy and kindness shown by everyone involved. More details will be shared as plans for 2027 develop. If you’d like to get involved or learn more, please email [email protected].

What A Wonderful Day!
This year’s Great Ouseburn Garden Festival was a fantastic celebration of our village — beautiful gardens, a wonderful village buzz, and so many lovely comments from visitors about how welcoming and vibrant the day was.

A heartfelt thank you to all the gardeners, volunteers, helpers, makers and bakers, and to our supporters, sponsors and every visitor who made the festival such a joy.

We're delighted to share that together we raised £22,500!

19 beautiful gardens are open today – they are all looking blooming brilliant.

Alongside the gardens, enjoy homemade bakes, live music, plant stalls, the festival pie, gnome trail, artisan makers, cafés and refreshments - all the things that make this day such a highlight.

Dear Great Ouseburn Village Resident

With the annual Garden Festival taking place on Sunday 31st, we’re expecting a good number of visitors. To help keep the village moving safely, we’ll be encouraging people to use the designated car parks at either end of Great Ouseburn.

To support this, No Parking cones will be placed along Main Street from around 5pm on Saturday evening. If you’re able to move your vehicle off Main Street on Saturday evening and throughout Sunday, it would be a huge help and very much appreciated.

Thank you for your support, and we do hope you’ll be able to join us on Sunday.

🌸Festival Week Is Here!
Just a few days to go until the Great Ouseburn Garden Festival on Sunday 31 May.

The village is looking blooming brilliant. Gardens are bursting with colour, cakes are getting their final touches, choirs are warming up, and the whole village has that lovely festival buzz.

With 19 open gardens, live music, delicious food and drink, creative stalls and plenty happening around the village, it’s shaping up to be a wonderful day out for everyone.
