FORWARD is an initiative set up by Fitzpatrick Referrals which stands for Fitzpatrick’s Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation for Working, Agility and Recreational Dogs. It is an exciting new initiative to guide dog owners on the best techniques to manage, treat and prevent injuries in athletic dogs.
This is a one day event which will explore in detail, from a training, preparation for competition and handling point of view, plus rehabilitation and veterinary, medical and surgical point of view, the most common musculoskeletal conditions that affect agility, working and performance dogs. Following the sell-out inaugural conference in 2016, the FORWARD Symposium is back on Sunday 5th February 2017 with a new line-up of speakers, fresh topics and a larger venue. This unique one-day event will guide you on the best techniques to manage, treat and prevent injuries in agility, working and performance dogs. Joining the FORWARD Symposium 2017 speaker programme are Dr Chris Zink and Professor Noel Fitzpatrick who are both returning to talk from the 2016 symposium to share with you their world-class knowledge and advice on achieving and maintaining your dog’s peak fitness. New for 2017, Raymond Haggett from the Metropolitan Police will also discuss the regime and maintenance of working dogs in the police force.
