'It's been a joy to come along every week to connect, laugh, learn and sing' - Grief Chorus Participant

The 2026 round of Grief Chorus came to an end in April, with an informal sharing for family and friends. This year, we gathered with participants from Brent and further afield to work through a range of vocal and breath exercises; to learn to sing together as a group to form a ‘Grief Chorus’.

This was led by theatre artist, voice coach and choir leader Dominie Hooper and dramatherapist Wabriya King.

'This project is a testimony to what Complicité is about on a deeper level. Art is for everyone; and creativity is not only reserved for actors and performers, but it's a fundamental part of what makes us human’ - Weronika Maria, Complicité Associate & Grief Chorus project support

With approaching (5 June), now is the perfect time to host an event in your community; transforming discussions about the climate crisis into action

We’ve created a brand-new, bespoke Q&A to further support your screenings.

Written and performed by BAFTA-nominated actor and activist Fehinti Balogun, Can I Live? is a vital digital performance about the climate catastrophe. The Q&A sits stylistically in the world of the film, while answering some of the most frequently asked questions.

Along with the film and the Q&A, you will also receive a toolkit which provides further guidance on hosting your own screening event.

🗓️16.05.2026, 6:30 P.M.
📍BOTO Theatre

“I Don’t Do Innocents” is a short radio play by Anne Carson, directed by Simon McBurney, and produced by Complicite for “The Paris Review”. The action takes place during a wedding reception, from which the bride suddenly disappears. It follows her younger sister, who, hidden on the roof, eavesdrops on the guests, piecing together a disturbing and intriguing picture from snippets of overheard conversations.

📻The radio play’s form focuses its attention on language, rhythm, and understatements, creating an intense and imaginary experience, in which everyday life becomes a poetic tale.

„I Don’t Do Innocents” – słuchowisko radiowe

📍Teatr BOTO

Zapraszamy!💙

We’re : Company Stage Manager & Assistant Stage Manager

We are looking for a Company Stage Manager (CSM) and an Assistant Stage Manager (ASM) for the forthcoming rehearsal periods and national and international tour of our latest production (to be announced).

At Complicité, we make work in a very live way. Nothing is fixed too early, and the production continues to evolve through rehearsal and performance. For us, stage management is not outside that process, but at its heart.

We’re looking for an experienced CSM and ASM who want to be part of making the piece, not just run it.

Deadline: On or before 12 June 2026.

We encourage you to submit your application as early as you are able to, as we reserve the right to close this vacancy ahead of the deadline if we appoint a suitable candidate.

Just announced: Simon McBurney will be performing as part of Dead Poets Live this June at The Coronet Theatre, reading Basil Bunting’s Briggflatts.

Weaving together the story of Bunting’s astonishing life and the poem he wrote in response to it, this new show will present Briggflatts how Bunting intended it to be experienced; in performance, heard by a live audience.

Sixty years after its first publication, this is a rare opportunity to hear one of the greatest – and most unjustly neglected – poetic accomplishments in English.

19 - 21 June.
