✨ WHAT A NIGHT!✨

Last Friday was one to remember!

🎶 What a fantastic evening we had with the incredibly talented John Reilly and Lewis Nitikman performing Your Song in our auditorium. 🎤👏

Our amazing audience really helped to create a brilliant atmosphere, singing, dancing and making our visiting performers feel so welcome. ❤️

We LOVE welcoming talented visiting performers to our theatre and seeing our auditorium filled with music, laughter and happy faces. 🕺💃

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along and supported the show. Your continued support means so much to us and helps us bring even more fantastic entertainment to our theatre.

🎭 A late Happy Birthday to the Inspirational Hilda Knight 🎂

Apologies for the late birthday post, but some people deserve to be celebrated whenever we get the opportunity. 💐

Today, we remember and celebrate Hilda Knight, a truly inspirational woman whose passion, talent and dedication helped shape the history of amateur theatre in Glossop.

In 1954, Hilda Knight, a retired professional actress, together with a group of players, their director, and several interested and like-minded public figures, came together with a shared vision. From that gathering came the foundations of a new society — The Glossop Amateur Repertory Club.

Hilda’s contribution helped create a legacy that brought people together through drama, performance and a love of the arts. 🎭❤️

Her story is a wonderful reminder of what can be achieved when passionate people come together with a common purpose.

So, although this birthday tribute is a little late, our appreciation is certainly not.

Happy birthday, Hilda Knight — and thank you for helping to lay the foundations of such a wonderful part of our theatrical history. 🌟🎭
