A smaller number at the soup social today but still a lovely buzz of chat in the hall.
We had an unexpected visit from one of our local councillors, Stephen Thompson, out campaigning for the upcoming elections.
Thanks to everyone who came along, provided soup or cakes and contributed to a fantastic £60.21 in donations.
We are continuing our soup socials over the summer on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Everyone is welcome

Our fundraising journey to renovate Barbour Memorial Hall is continuing. We're currently preparing applications for funds for our next phase - to refresh the interior, add WIFI and update our fire safety systems.

We have lots of photos still to share, but thought you might like to see a couple. Many thanks to Malcolm Lines who captured these fantastic before and after drone images for us.

We're very grateful to our contractor William Waugh & Sons Builders Ltd, our Project Management & QS team - Jamie & Robbie at McGowan Miller Construction Consultants, and funders: UK Government Community Ownership Fund, Dumfries and Galloway Council Coastal Benefit Fund plus funds raised by our community.

We'll share more with you soon and hope you're enjoying the new look hall. Our spaces are available to hire - you can book via our website and view some interior images of the hall there too at: https://www.barbourhall.co.uk/our-spaces/
