The story of the red and white dragons at Beltane is an ancient Welsh legend symbolizing the struggle between the native Britons (red) and Saxon invaders (white). Traditionally, they fought annually, causing a terrifying scream on Calan Mai (May Day), until trapped in a mead-filled pit and later released by Merlin to fight again, with the red dragon ultimately prevailing, with the red dragon symbolising summer and the white dragon, winter.

At Beltane (May 1st), the Oak King is at the height of his power, reigning as the vibrant Green Man to foster fertility, growth, and the warming sun. In the ceremony at Glastonbury the Oak King and Holly King do battle, and the Oak king wins and summer prevails. Beltane marks the Oak King’s peak strength and his ritual union with the Earth Goddess, ensuring the summer’s abundance before the Holly King returns to challenge him at Midsummer.

Well wow woW WOW! What a beautiful night we had celebrating the Spring Equinox ⚖️ last night. And what a confluence, a sangam of events! - It was also Eid, New Moon 🌙 and the International Day of Happiness.

We journeyed through the spiral of The Work That Reconnects 🕊️, singing songs and connecting, supporting and inspiring each other through gratitude and grief, and sharing new perspectives and visions for making a difference in the world 🌎

Infinite gratitude to for the beautiful Rose, Hawthorn and Cacao Ceremony, that was a deep ceremony and the beverage was truly delicious, for the beautiful Spring Equinox ceremony balancing our masculine and feminine energies within. These energies empowered us to embrace our pain for the world, and see it with new and ancient eyes. At the end some people said that in fact just doing what we were doing, singing together in community, is an effective way to make a difference in the world 🙏🏼

Imbolc Blessings! 🔥 💧 🌱 Wow! What a beautiful gathering that was! We sang to the sleeping seeds in the dark wintery soil, which, feeling the call of light, sent their radicle roots and plumule shoots signs that now was time to gently encourage the seed case to crack open. We sang to the sun, moon and stars, and we danced around the Imbolc fire, sending sparks rising to the endless sky, we opened our hearts, and we came back to life!

We want to say a huge thank you to all the contributors who came and offered workshops because they want to share their offerings to inspire young adults and help you deepen your connection to self, spirit, nature and the Wider family. They did this from the kindness of their hearts so we are so grateful to all the contributors! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
