Frankie Robertson ❤️

A true Barras legend and a dear friend of BAaD, taken far too soon.

If you've ever visited BAaD for an event, a market weekend, or simply stopped by for a coffee, chances are you met Frankie, or at the very least saw him around. He was one of those rare people who brought warmth, laughter and kindness wherever he went, and everyone who knew him was better for it. Every weekend, without fail, he'd pop in for a coffee from his favourite BAaD barista, our wee Nicole.

What many people don't realise is that Frankie also left a lasting mark on BAaD itself. Back in 2021, he created the mural on our shipping container at the bottom of Calton Entry. Thousands of people have walked past it over the years without knowing the artist behind it. Today, it feels even more special, a vibrant burst of colour and creativity in the heart of the Barras, and a lasting reminder of Frankie and the talent he shared with our community.

Thank you for everything, Frankie. It was a privilege to know you, and an honour to call you our friend.

Monday:
- We are closed today for a private event with SP Energy. ⚡

Thursday:
- Our sister steak house venue, Gost, are taking over our weekly BBQ event and bringing an incredible high-end twist to it. It's £30 per entry, or upgrade to the mouth-watering wagyu option for £50! Nonna Said (East End) will also be open from 12pm for all your scran, cocktail and coffee needs! 🍕

Friday:
- We welcome back SP Energy for the 2nd time this week for another private event during the day. Then we have the incredible Jazz Room show back here for 2 more shows! Limited tickets remaining, click the link in bio to secure yours. 🎷

Sauturday:
- Jampot is back once again for another incredible day disco event. Have you gotten your tickets yet? If not, be quick as this is close to being a sell out! Our backyard will be open from 12pm with live music coming from Pablo Jones, Dirty Old Town & Mark Gibbons. 🎧

Sunday:
- The Witches Cove market is back at the Barra's. Tickets available on the door. Market opens at 11am. Our backyard will also be open from 12pm, with live music being supplied by Kirk Strachan. 🎸
