Unite Against Cancer need little introduction. Funding research into new treatments for rare types of cancer, the charity and the community as a whole have achieved a huge amount since inauguration in 2012. Most recently, the charity established the Christopher Douglas Smith scholarship for the Cancer Sciences MSc course at Glasgow University - a clear message of our collective intention to defeat the disease. Regrettably, we are all deeply affected by the consequences this disease has - none less than the cause on which this charity was founded. We're racing this triathlon as it's the least we can do for this very special charity and in memory of our great friend and true lad.
