Firstly, sincere apologies for the delay in getting this post out. We've been in a dazed bubble of overwhelming gratitude, from which we're only now beginning to emerge. The total raised by you all, was a staggering £31,717! Your generosity has quite simply left us stunned, as has your love and support. Thank you will never be enough, but we're at a loss as to what would ever convey the depth of our feelings towards you.

✨Just 2 weeks until our first ‘Making it Happen for Michael’ event✨

📍 Taking place on Friday 15th September at the Redhurst Hotel in Giffnock.

⭐️ We look forward to welcoming you on Friday evening at 7pm to an evening of great food, entertainment, and most importantly fundraising for Michael Harvey and Duchenne UK.

Happy World Bee Day!

What's the significance of the bee on the MIHM logo? Those of you who know Michael's mum Mhairi, will know she loves bees but that's not the reason beehind it (sorry 😂). One morning not long after Michael's diagnosis, he and his sister Eve had settled on the sofa to watch the Bee Movie. Mhairi was accross the hall but heard the quote at the start of the movie being read aloud and came into the room to play it back and listen to it properly.

'According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. It's wings are too small to get it's fat little body off the ground. The bee of course, flies anyway - because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.'

And that was it. Something is only impossible until it happens and that's what we endevour to do for Michael. DUK have been doing this since they began, they haven't stopped and neither will we.

We have exciting and hopeful news to share with you!

Through the relentless efforts of Duchenne UK, Michael has the opportunity to take part in a gene therapy trial. We are beyond grateful to have this opportunity and are off to Newcastle to meet with a truly amazing world class team. Please keep Michael in your thoughts and prayers and send all your positive energy that this all goes well for him and all the other boys too.
