This is an exciting development opportunity for an early career emerging South Asian artist from Rutherglen, or with a Rutherglen connection, to develop a creative idea or intervention that resonates with the theme ‘Making Futures’, to deliver at “RUTHERGLEN 900: STRIDING THE STREETS PARADE” on Saturday 13th June 2026.

📢 INTRODUCING THREADS 📢

Threads is a new development programme by Bijli supporting the South-Asian community to try new activities and develop skills in theatre and performance.

It includes a series of workshops exploring storytelling through multiple aspects of performance including movement, voice, character, design and more. There is also an opportunity to meet established performers, artists and theatre makers, and find out more about their journeys over a bite to eat in our "Lunch with…" series.
