We here at Glas-Goes Pop HQ believe in inclusivity, solidarity, and the basic rights and dignity of all people. We’re proud to stand firmly against hatred, division and the politics of fear, and grateful to use our little corner of the cultural world to support causes we can stand behind. That being said, we’re delighted to announce this special matinée benefit show for HOPE not hate at our fave local, the Glad Café.
HNH builds hope and counters the politics of hate through research, intelligence, campaigning and community engagement. HNH advocates for change online and on the ground to defeat the far right, which is the fastest growing terror threat to the UK.
With Reform on the rise in Scotland and across the UK, HNH’s current focus is building a movement of people determined to challenge this rise, expose their tactics, and push back in communities across the country.
As a couple of Americans watching the daily horror show unfold back home, we’ve seen how quickly fear and division can be weaponised, and how easily the far right can gain ground when hatred is allowed to pass as politics. We don’t want to see that happen in our adopted home.
