Sunday Soundclash

Sunday Soundclash New weekly 18+ Bands night in McChuills Music Venue where 100% of ticket money goes to bands. They sell the tickets, they keep the money. Easy.

These events are 18+

For nearly three decades, live music has been at the heart of everything we do here at McChuill’s. A big part of that has always been supporting new and developing artists, but over the years it’s become harder and harder for those bands to make anything approaching a living from just being in a band. It’s with that in mind, that we are excited to announce the launch of Dirty

Laundry, a new weekly bands showcase night where the artists will keep 100% of the ticket sales. Each night will feature three up-and-coming bands playing in the legendary back arch, all of whom will be receiving every penny of their ticket sales at the end of the night. McChuills will be supplying the space, sound engineer, PA and lighting, but without the music itself, we’d have nothing, so Dirty Laundry is a chance for young bands to get paid in something more than just exposure.

Tonight, the Lets Go Back crew are back once again like the renegade masters that they are, ready to tear up McChuills with the carnage guarantee that is their Sunday Soundclash Rave. ✊🏻🖤

In the bar, there’ll be a soundtrack of anything and everything, from old-school hip hop, rave and house, through dub, breaks and more, right up to the very latest in cutting-edge floorfillers, as well as anything else, from any genre, that takes their fancy.

This week the lads are joined by the our old mate and long-time DJ collaborator Chris Devlin. Chris was the founding member of the much loved club night Pistols at Dawn, a name which he now DJs under.

Chris is best known for his joyful and eclectic style, which is as much influenced by 80s Ibiza as it is by the early disco scene of New York. A Pistols At Dawn DJ set is like a trip around the musical globe, spanning Italo disco, sun drenched balearica and the kind of emotive deep house that can leave you in tears. Oh and usually a few well placed ‘80s pop numbers which shouldn’t work but somehow just makes sense when he drops them.

So get yr s**t together, get yrself down and get yr freak on.

You know it makes sense.

Later this month, Lets Go Back’s Sunday Soundclash returns to McChuills’ Acid Arch with another mega lineup of live music.

Straight outta Paisley, Alt/Country prog rock pioneers Radiola rampage through a wide range of avant-garde stylings, raw energy and fearless songwriting that should endear them to fans of The Velvet Underground, Neil Young - Reprise Records, Bob Dylan, and Wilco.

The Ox are a fiery four piece from Glasgow, Kentucky, Scotland, punting p***y, spiteful, spiky country tales up and down the aisle. Psychobabble Outlaw Country Punk n’ Roll, a Primark Primus, someways betwixt Johnny Cash and Fat White Family.

In the bar that night, the LGB crew will be up to their usual shenanigans with their Sunday Soundclash Rave, aided and abetted by special guest Daniel Hive who’s upfront selections run the gamut from funk, soul and disco through to house, techno and the odd diversion into tech-house and more besides.

Get yrself down, it’s going to be another banger…
