It's the last week of Friends' priority booking for our next series before General Booking opens on Friday 15th May, so all this week we're looking ahead to what's in store from Amersham Festival of Music later this year!

Bach by Candlelight
It's a way off, but we are delighted to present very special candlelit arias concert for the New Year on Saturday 2nd January 2027 at 4pm! The Festival Orchestra are back for our traditional ‘Baroque concert for the New Year’. In the first half, a selection of beautiful baroque arias with talented emerging artists from the Royal Academy of Music, before the festival orchestra play three of Bach’s uplifting Brandenburg Concertos. The 13th-century surroundings of St Mary’s church are heightened by a stunning setting created with hundreds of candles.

It's the last week of Friends' priority booking for our next series before General Booking opens on Friday 15th May, so all this week we're looking ahead to what's in store from Amersham Festival of Music later this year!

On Friday 13th November, we are proud to present an evening of world-class jazz, with musicians from Ronnie Scott’s and Strictly Come Dancing. 'Timeless Voices of Jazz' bring years of experience, performing at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and other venues across the world, together with vocalists - including ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ legend Lance Ellington - to form a band rooted in the heart of the UK’s vibrant jazz scene.

This show, on a UK tour, celebrates the great vocalists whose sound continues to resonate across generations. Inspired by icons such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Diana Krall, the band pays tribute to the singers who shaped jazz through their artistry, storytelling and unmistakable swing.

Collectively, these brilliant musicians have performed with an extraordinary list of world-class artists, including Amy Winehouse, Gregory Porter, Michael Bublé, Jacob Collier, Jamie Cullum, Sting, Stewart Copeland, Branford Marsalis, Mark Murphy, Van Morrison, Robbie Williams, Roy Ayers, Westlife, Christina Aguilera, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Sister Sledge, Wynton Marsalis, Kurt Elling, Humphrey Lyttelton, Jools Holland, Buddy Greco, Sir John Dankworth, Charlie Watts, Michel Legrand, Shirley Bassey, Anton Du Beke, and the Ronnie Scott’s Allstars.

Timeless Voices of Jazz brings the elegance, warmth and emotion of classic jazz vocals into the modern era, capturing a sound that truly lives up to its name.

It's the last week of Friends' priority booking for our next series before General Booking opens on Friday 15th May, so all this week we're looking ahead to what's in store from Amersham Festival of Music later this year!

On Sunday 8th November, spend an afternoon with the multi award-winning Charles Court Opera making their Amersham Festival debut!

The acclaimed ‘masters of Gilbert & Sullivan’, Charles Court Opera, are led by the country’s foremost G&S exponent - singer, director, writer and ENO stalwart John Savournin. John is joined by three of the finest G&S opera soloists and leading G&S conductor Chris Hopkins at the piano.

CCO will guide us through all the G&S operas - in one concert! A celebration of the best-loved songs, duets and ensembles from HMS Pinafore, The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance and more.

CCO is a leading light in the world of operetta, with recent smash hit successes in collaboration with Opera Holland Park in London, at the G&S Festival in Buxton, and on tour.

It's the last week of Friends' priority booking for our next series before General Booking opens on Friday 15th May, so all this week we're looking ahead to what's in store from Amersham Festival of Music later this year!

The next series begins with our own professional orchestra and a spectacular Beethoven gala concert on Saturday 17th October in St Mary's Amersham, conducted by Artistic Director Chris Hopkins. On the menu: the beautiful Fourth Piano Concerto directed from the keyboard, Mendelssohn’s evocative Hebrides Overture, and Beethoven’s thrilling Seventh Symphony.

And that's a wrap on our Spring Season!
THANK YOU to the thousands of you who came to our events, to all of our friends, sponsors, and supporters, to our incredibly hard-working committee and team of volunteers, and to all of the brilliant artists who have performed over the last four weeks. We've enjoyed a huge range of music, from the festival's brilliant orchestra to , , , , , , , , and !

We look forward already to our next season which begins in October, bringing more world-class music to Amersham, as well as to our new singing project for schools 'The Winds of the World' which kicks off in September. Events in the Winter series are already on sale to Friends, with general booking opening in a few weeks.
