The Hotel itself is a converted barn incorporating a bar, restaurant, hotel and conference & banqueting facilities. It has been recently refurbished whilst still maintaining its traditional charm and character, with its beautiful stone walls and original arches. The Angel View Hotel has plenty of free car parking and is located just off Durham Road (A167) and close to the A1. It is conveniently close to the commercial centers of Newcastle, Durham, Gateshead and Sunderland.

We have seen so many people suggesting Joan, and it has been really heartwarming to see just how loved and remembered she is. There’s no doubt that Joan truly was The Angel of the North — and as you say, probably claimed half of the North East too! 😂❤️

We completely understand and respect your wishes, and we’re so pleased to have your blessing for the next chapter of the Angel View.

So, Angus the Angel it is! 😇❤️

And don’t worry… we’ll make sure Joan’s memory and legacy continue to be a very special part of the Angel View. She’ll always be part of our story.
