Festival Pattern now on Ravelry!

The Tangled Galashiels 2026 Festival Pattern is now live on Ravelry!

The printed pattern was a sell out at the festival, so if you have missed it you can find the digital version on Ravelry, and I will have printed patterns (with digital download code included) with me at several shows in the coming year (to be announced in due time!)

And it’s a wrap for another year!!!

Thank you so much to all vendors, exhibitors, demonstrators, tutors, supporting local businesses and venues, BID for Galashiels and Galashiels Heartland, Live Borders, Heriot Watt School of Design, Cafe Recharge, Galashiels Scouts, The Great Tapestry of Scotland, Untangled Yarns, the fantastic Tangled Team, and most importantly, all the visitors who have come from far and wide and locally and made this year’s event a great success once again 😊

My heart is full and it is lovely to hear that everyone enjoyed it so much, thank you.

Galashiels Heartland of the Borders Live Borders

With the Festival Workshops almost full, we are excited to welcome these fabulous tutors to Tangled!

Leigh has been crocheting for around 15 years, and has been teaching it for 7 years. Leigh is passionate about the mental health and wellbeing aspects of crochet. She runs beginner and improver workshops across Edinburgh, Glasgow, West Lothian and Online and also works with charities, schools and private groups. Leigh aims to bring the mindful and relaxing elements of crochet to her workshops, and really enjoys giving people a creative tool for self management through her fun and friendly workshops!

Tania is a Dorset Button designer, maker, hand knitter and teacher. Brought up in Dorset and now living on the Isle of Skye, Tania contributes to the continuation of the heritage craft of Dorset Buttons, a cottage industry dating back to the early 1600s. Tania loves sharing her knowledge and inspiring yarn lovers to explore designs, with different colours and yarns, and in addition showcases how to use them as embellishments or functional buttons to add a personal touch and jazz up handmade projects. As an avid hand knitter Tania enjoys adding beads to knitted projects to add extra texture, colour, sparkle and pattern. A qualified and experienced teacher, facilitator and coach, Tania regularly teaches workshops in person and virtually at yarn festivals, yarn shops and for tour and private groups.

After showcasing our local vendors, the ones from further afield in Scotland and from England, last but not least, we are delighted to introduce our incredible contingent of crafters coming from Edinburgh, the Lothians, Falkirk and Glasgow: Team Central Belt!

In no particular order at Tangled this year you will find:

We are proud to showcase lots of different fibrecrafts at Tangled!

On top of all the lovely yarn producers, and needlework crafters, from embroidery to punch needle, you will also find talented crafters in weaving, felting and sewing!

Tangled is so proud to host fibre crafters from so many areas of Scotland, as well as across the border, and we are so delighted to showcase them ahead of the festival, so you can get excited too, and maybe start building your shopping list!

After showcasing our brilliant local vendors from South of Scotland, from more remote parts of Scotland, and from NE Scotland, before we continue with Scotland we would like to make a wee detour across the border and introduce Team England!

In no particular order, at Tangled this year you will find:
