Great news!!!
After a much needed wee break, the organisation of Tangled 27 has already started, and I am very happy to announce that the vendors application process will open next week!

Tangled Galashiels is a friendly, deeply community-minded event and I cannot wait to hear from you!

If you know anyone who might be interested in applying, please do share!

The application process is done directly through the website and is straightforward and transparent, with all information (including pricing) available on the website before you apply.

Looking forward to building a great lineup of amazing crafters for Tangled 2027!

Can’t believe it has already been a whole week since Tangled!

Thank you to everyone again for your support this year, the Galashiels Scouts have a message for you:

“ Galashiels Scout Group and Border Reiver Explorers would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us during this year’s Tangled Festival.
From the winding station to our café stall at the Scout Hall, it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying our homemade traybakes, teas and coffees.

We really appreciate all the donations received. Your support means a great deal to us and will help us continue to provide valuable opportunities, activities, and adventures for our young people.

Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. We loved being part of Tangled and can’t wait to see everyone again next year! “

The printed pattern was a sell out at the festival, so if you have missed it you can find the digital version on Ravelry, and I will have printed patterns (with digital download code included) with me at several shows in the coming year (to be announced in due time!)

And it’s a wrap for another year!!!

Thank you so much to all vendors, exhibitors, demonstrators, tutors, supporting local businesses and venues, BID for Galashiels and Galashiels Heartland, Live Borders, Heriot Watt School of Design, Cafe Recharge, Galashiels Scouts, The Great Tapestry of Scotland, Untangled Yarns, the fantastic Tangled Team, and most importantly, all the visitors who have come from far and wide and locally and made this year’s event a great success once again 😊

My heart is full and it is lovely to hear that everyone enjoyed it so much, thank you.

Galashiels Heartland of the Borders Live Borders

With the Festival Workshops almost full, we are excited to welcome these fabulous tutors to Tangled!

Leigh has been crocheting for around 15 years, and has been teaching it for 7 years. Leigh is passionate about the mental health and wellbeing aspects of crochet. She runs beginner and improver workshops across Edinburgh, Glasgow, West Lothian and Online and also works with charities, schools and private groups. Leigh aims to bring the mindful and relaxing elements of crochet to her workshops, and really enjoys giving people a creative tool for self management through her fun and friendly workshops!

Tania is a Dorset Button designer, maker, hand knitter and teacher. Brought up in Dorset and now living on the Isle of Skye, Tania contributes to the continuation of the heritage craft of Dorset Buttons, a cottage industry dating back to the early 1600s. Tania loves sharing her knowledge and inspiring yarn lovers to explore designs, with different colours and yarns, and in addition showcases how to use them as embellishments or functional buttons to add a personal touch and jazz up handmade projects. As an avid hand knitter Tania enjoys adding beads to knitted projects to add extra texture, colour, sparkle and pattern. A qualified and experienced teacher, facilitator and coach, Tania regularly teaches workshops in person and virtually at yarn festivals, yarn shops and for tour and private groups.
