Workhouse Players have been busy in this heat at The Old Nick Theatre....as well as rehearsing our next stage venture for WordFest Lincolnshire in September we are about to launch our latest Podcast Play.

She Sits is a 2 part drama starring Julie Holmes and Nikita Lei

Shelagh and Rita have a long, shared history that they both remember in remarkably different ways

Both episodes release on Monday 1st June at 12.00pm and 1.00pm on our Spotify channel

Coming up at The Old Nick Theatre over the next 7 days.....

Saturday 25th April Museum Tours are open from 11.30 am.
Join the team for an informative guided tour of this fascinating Victorian Police museum full of original artifacts and historical pieces all the way back from the original Peeler Police up until the 1970's as well as infamous tales, stories and legends of the many people who have inhabited the cells over the years....some say still do....

Tours start at 11.30am final entry 2.30pm
Guided tour with photo opportunities followed by time to wander the corridors on your own..if you dare.

£3.00 adult £2.50 concession £1.50 child

Tuesday 28th April from 7.30pm
Social nights are back at The Old Nick. Come along, meet and join in with some of your local community groups in our relaxed, well stocked cafe/bar area. Tea and coffee available.
We will be joined by some of Workhouse Players cast and crew for play readings and general behind the scenes chat for those of you interested in finding out more about Theatre and how to get involved.

Members of the Folk Club will also be there.for a chat about what their upcoming dates and guest performers are and tell you how you can get involved.

We will also be joined by some of the regular volunteers who help to run and maintain the venue.
In these exciting times of change there are a lot of ideas and plans for new ventures and we would also love to hear from you.
Come along and find out how you can get involved.

Friday 1st May from 7.30pm
Gainsborough Folk Club are back at The Old Nick for an evening of song, music, monologues and story telling. All are welcome in this relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Held upstairs in our cafe/bar area.

Western Television has closed it's doors and the curtain has fallen on Barry Smith and Leonora Sherridan for the final time.

Leonora, finally got to tell her story, she finally found a voice, she was finally able to let it go and move on with her life...though she would never forget.

Steve Moore the happy go lucky runner has recovered from his encounter with Barry and is currently living his best life in Mykonos running a cocktail bar with Mateo, his new Greek bartender friend he met while on holiday.

Michael Smith paved a smoother more accepting path for Barry

Mr Newman faded away into history where he belonged
..Barry Smith finally told his truth to one person who would hear it...soon after, some like to say he joined Deb picking plants and doing up a cottage....
