So that is Witham Vale 2025 over for another year. We've had a lot of fun organising this ride but its time to pass the baton on to the next generation. In 2026 the ride will be organised by the Miller family - Emma, Ian and Livvy - and we wish them the very best of luck.

We would like to thank everyone who was involved in making the ride a success, despite disapointing entries. In no order of priority.

Well a whole year has nearly gone by since the 2024 Witham Vale Ride! Preparations are well under way for this year's ride

We welcome Dorset Farm Foods as our new caterer for 2025 so please support them on the day.

The eastern section (The Deverills) has been route-checked and is looking good.

As usual we thank everyone who supports the ride, our landowners, the TRF who do our marking, Raynet who are in charge of comms and the Magnum Carnival Club who will be looking after our very busy road crossings.

We could still do with a few volunteers to help the ride run smoothly so if you are free on Sunday July 27th then please get in touch!

Thanks for your patience everyone, the PF rosettes are going out on Thursday!

So, the sun has set on the reincarnated Witham Vale ride and what a day we all had! The weather was kind and the sun shone on the horses' backs just when they needed it! The caterer was happy because the sun encouraged people to stay and eat his food. We will do a longer post when our brains are back in gear to thank and recognise everyone who helped to make this event a success. For those of you who knew them, I think that Mike & Val Cooper, to whom this event was dedicated, would have thought we did a good job! Here are some random pics including one of Jo Kulp, her lovely pony, and David Yeoman her crew-person! Also the adorable Daschund puppy and its mum in the back of the caterer's truck! Oh and let's not forgot the loneliness of the long distance photographer - Mae from TrueToYouPhotography in the medieval village field at CP2.
