Set in beautiful parkland in the historic town of Frodsham, the Centre houses four galleries, craft units, coffee shop (serving freshly made light lunches) and workshop rooms. The Centre is used for a range of events, workshops and classes for people of all ages. Castle Park Arts Centre's visitors can enjoy for free, a 6 week rolling programme of inspiring visual arts and displays of unique handmade craftworks from artists and designers based locally and further afield, ideal for that extra special gift. Castle Park Arts Centre is run as a charitable trust The Centre is manned by volunteers and relies on volunteers to assist with various events and tasks at the Centre. If you are interested in finding out more about volunteering at the Centre please contact us. History

The Victorian building with its unique clock tower was originally the stable block for the adjacent mansion house. In 1986 these outbuildings were converted into the arts centre providing exhibition and workshop spaces, a cafe and craft units. The traditional origins of the building are reflected in the magnificent wrought iron gates which were commissioned for the entrance to the art centre. Sponsored by The Biffa Award is a multi-million pound environment fund managed by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts (RSWT) which utilises landfill tax credits donated by Biffa Waste Services. and

Mixed Media Workshop taking place here at Castle Park in Gallery 2 on Tuesday 15th September, from 10.00am to 3.00pm, with artist, Sue Hancell - Layered Landscapes.

This is a semi-abstract, mixed media, landscape workshop. You will have a go at printing papers, building layers, adding collage and completing your composition in this fun and relaxed session.

ONLY 2 PLACES LEFT! Unlock the creative potential of the book form with our upcoming 'Artist Books' Workshop at Castle Park Arts Centre. Join Dee & Michelle on Tuesday 29 September, 10am–3pm, for a hands-on day exploring zine-style books, concertinas and exploding books.

An artist’s book is a work of art in its own right – using structure, sequence and material to tell a story. This workshop is perfect for anyone who enjoys printmaking, collage, mixed media or simply wants to try something new.

Don't forget Castle Park Arts Centre’s Christmas Card Competition.
Whether you enjoy painting, drawing, printmaking, collage or digital art, we’d love to see your seasonal creativity. The only thing we ask is that you give a nod to our centre and the local community.

Winning designs will be printed and sold in the gallery shop, with full credit to the artist, and they will also receive a £25 cash prize.

Open to all ages.

Deadline for entries: Friday 25th of September.

Here is our second Judge for the Portrait Artist Competition, taking place on Sunday 4th October... Kate Brooks.

The Arts Centre will be open, despite it being a Sunday - and public entry is from 10:15am until 3.30pm. Come along and watch the competition take place.

Castle Park Arts Centre invites artists of all backgrounds, disciplines and experience levels to submit work for our much‑loved Annual Open Exhibition — now in its 41st year.

Running 13 November – 23 December 2026, this vibrant winter exhibition celebrates creativity across our region and beyond. Whether you’re an emerging artist, an established practitioner, or trying something new, we’d love to see your work on our gallery walls.
