Isle of Wight Festival of Running The Isle of Wight Festival of Running is an event the whole family can enjoy! From budding young runners, we have a Junior Fun Run.

For those who have just taken up running, we have two 5ks at either end of the Island. Experienced runners looking for a course that challenges them to their limits we have the Needles XC Half Marathon.

Visit a farm and cheer on our runners!

🌾 Tickets are now available for Open Day - Sunday 7th June 2026 🐄
The Farm are opening their gates as part of the national Open Farm Sunday and our Needles Half Marathon runners will be passing right through the Farm!

Sunday 7th June 8.30am until 2pm - with runners passing by from approx. midday:

🐮Watch the cows being milked
🐑 Meet the cows and sheep
👩‍🌾 Join a guided farm tour
🚜 See tractors and machinery up close
🥾 Explore a nature walk
🥤 Make your own milkshakes
🍦 Try the farm's own ice cream
🥪 Enjoy food from the farm by Fat Shauns Outdoor Catering

Online entries have now closed for this weekend’s Isle of Wight Festival of Running, but we’ll have a small number of on-the-day entries available.

🏃 Tapnell 10k
Saturday 6 June, 12:00 midday
On-the-day entry: £30

🏃‍♀️ Needles Half Marathon
Sunday 7 June, 11:00am
On-the-day entry: £40

Places are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive in good time.

We’re also looking forward to welcoming our younger runners for the FREE Junior Run at 10am on Sunday 7th June - a brilliant way for children to be part of the Festival weekend and enjoy the buzz of race day.

Scenic routes, friendly marshals, local medals, and a fantastic community atmosphere, all while supporting West Wight Sports and Community Centre.
