The European Pipe Band Championships 2018 will take place in Forres, Moray on Saturday, 30th June, in the beautiful, tree-lined natural amphitheatre of Grant Park. Gates will open at 09.00, the competition will start at 10.00 and continue throughout the day until about 17.00 when the massed bands and prize giving will take place. e Championships show that the music and spectacle of thousands of pipers and drummers should not be missed as pipe bands from across Scotland, the UK, Europe and further afield gather to compete in this event, held under the auspices of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA). Highland hospitality is well known and Grant Park will not only offer world-class sights and sounds but excellent food and drink and other entertainment from Moray and the surrounding area. Forres is one of Scotland’s oldest and most attractive towns, with a rich and long cultural history, and wins regular awards for its floral displays, of which Grant Park forms a centrepiece. Piping At Forres, the European Pipe Band Championships 2018 took place for the sixth and final time in Forres, Moray on Saturday, 30th June, in the beautiful, tree-lined natural amphitheatre of Grant Park. Awarded over 9 out of 10 in feedback for each of the last 4 years the Championships included the music and spectacle of thousands of pipers and drummers as pipe bands from across Scotland, the UK, Europe and further afield gathered to compete in this event, held under the auspices of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA). Highland hospitality is well known and Grant Park not only offered world-class sights and sounds but excellent food and drink and other entertainment from Moray and the surrounding area.
