Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Damerham Fair and Horticultural Show. We absolutely loved welcoming you and hope you had a fantastic day. It was certainly a warm one, but we hope you'll agree it was worth the visit!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the event such a success. The Fair is run entirely by volunteers, and events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the support, generosity, and enthusiasm of our community.

So thank you to our volunteers, thank you to our traders, thank you to our sponsors, thank you to all of those who entered the Horticultural Show, thank you to those running the dog show and the scurries, thank you to those who fed and watered us through out the day. Am sure we have missed some, but most of all thank you to our visitors and for supporting us and our village; to see the field packed with all those cars and to see you all enjoying yourselves means a lot to our community.

We're so excited to welcome you to Damerham Fair tomorrow and wanted to share a few final details.

📅 Time: 11:00am – 4:00pm
📍 Location: Damerham Sports Field
🎟️ Admission: Adults £5 | Under 16s FREE
🚌 Don't forget our free shuttle bus service will be running from Fordingbridge, Ashford and Sandleheath (see our previous post for details).

There really is something for everyone, including:

Traditional games
Bouncy castle

A wide variety of trade stalls
Dog show and dog scurries
BBQ, crêpes and salad bar

Just 2 days to go! 🍔🥗🥞

When it comes to food at Damerham Fair, we've got something to satisfy every appetite, with plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans too!

🔥 Traditional BBQ

🥗 Build-your-own salad bowls with a dressing of your choice and a range of delicious toppings, including:
-Tuna
-Chicken
-Roasted vegetables
-Chickpea falafel
-Vegan hoisin duck

🥞 Freshly made crêpes with a variety of sweet and savoury fillings, including favourites such as:

-Nutella & banana
-Lemon & sugar
-A selection of vegetarian and vegan options

Whether you're after a hearty lunch, a light bite, or a sweet treat, you'll find plenty to enjoy at the Fair.

It's not just the Fair and Horticultural show that we have lined up.
We also have our Tent Dance taking place in the evening with The Allsorts providing entertainment for the night.

Families are welcome and food and drink will be available too.

Tickets available at Damerham Garage or Crossways Farm.

Once again, we will be offering our free bus service to the Fair and back, as follows:

Leave Fordingbridge:
10.45am, 11.45am, 1.15pm, 2.30pm

Leave Railway Hotel:
10.55am, 11.50am, 1.20pm, 2.35pm

Leave Sandleheath:
10.55am, 11.55am, 1.25pm, 2.40pm

Return From Damerham Fair to all pickup points.
1.45pm, 2.45pm, 3.45pm, 4.45pm

- Fordingbridge Pickup is from the Bartons Road side of Fordingbridge car park.
- The Railway Hotel Pickup is opposite The Railway Hotel.
- Sandleheath Pickup is from the Bus Stop by the crossroads.

A Donation may be left on exiting the bus, the proceeds of which will be given to Charity.

Dogs are allowed on the Bus

Last call for entries to the Horticultural Show, which takes place at the Fair, with entries closing at 8pm this Tuesday, 21st July.

The entry form and fees can be handed into the show secretary to the Damerham Village Hall between 6:30pm and 8pm.

If you've been to the Damerham Fair before, you'll undoubtedly know all about the legendary Damerham Derby – one of our most popular attractions and, if you ask us, the most unique event you'll find at any village fair!

Watch as eight brave jockeys mount their trusty "horses" and race head-to-head around the course, tackling jumps and obstacles along the way. With the crowd cheering them on and plenty of friendly rivalry, it's a sight guaranteed to raise a smile!

There will be two thrilling races, taking place at 12:15pm and 2:10pm – and the best part is that you can be part of the action!

Think you've got what it takes to cross the finish line first? Then come and find the Derby team on the day and sign up to take your place at the starting line. Saddle up, embrace the challenge, and compete for Damerham Derby glory!

Packed with surprises, you could win almost anything in a bottle, can, or jar. From favourite drinks and sweet treats to unusual and unexpected prizes, there's always something to discover. The question is... what might you win?

A huge thank you to the wonderful villagers of Damerham, whose generous donations make this much-loved attraction possible each year. Their support helps keep the Bottle Stall stocked with an amazing variety of prizes, adding to the fun and excitement of the fair.
