The weather could not have been better for our 3 day break in Normandy .... on our way back to the UK now ...hope you've all enjoyed the adventure...we have certainly enjoyed escorting you!

Its that time of year again and we are pleased to share news of England’s festival of free history 11-20 September 2026

Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture, involving thousands of local volunteers and organisations. Every year for 10 days in September it brings people together to celebrate their heritage, community and history. Stories are told, traditions explored, and histories brought to life. It’s offers the public a chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.

The New Folkestone Society is the coordinator of Heritage Open Days for the Folkestone & Hythe district and we are pleased to share their fabulous guide to all that is happening in our area !

Bonus this visit with the rain which gave us a brilliant opportunity to tour more inside the castle... not usually open to the public so we were very lucky... great tour by Jackie and Adrian from the Garden team... we will be back next year!
