Feltonbury 'Feltonbury'? Music and Art 'Festival-in-a-day’ - unlike its namesake – Glastonbury - no mud, no queues, no tailbacks! But we do have plenty of talent.

VENUE 7 - 25 Main Street - Helen Poremba is a textile artist and definitely worth a visit. She paints with fabric and draws with thread using a technique of free motion embroidery. Her work is often of flowers, rich in colour and texture …they would look beautiful in any home.

The Artists trail is 10-5 on Saturday 27 June. All the latest info about Feltonbury is on the website https://feltonbury.co.uk/ ...and on our Feltonbury page.

'One Month To Go Before Feltonbury2026'. A really busy schedule on Friday evening and throughout Saturday. Hard to read - yes? In which case, go to www.feltonbury.co.uk - 'What's On' for a downloadable version of the music schedule and who the performers are. Minor changes may happen over the next few weeks, but this is essentially the 'Final' version. Running side-by-side with this is the Arts Trail at a number of workshops and studios across the villages.

VENUE 3 - Garden House

Two artists will be exhibiting at Garden House: Emma Louise Arthur and Becky McMurray

Emma is a versatile artist using pen, pencil, acrylic, watercolour and clay to create art of animals, buildings and more. She also takes commissions for wall murals. Her’s is the wonderful pet portrait below.

Becky makes unique, handcrafted heirloom bears, each to represent a month of the year …they might make a really special gift.

Garden House is clustered with St Michael’s church and The Old Vicarage, so pop up there between 10am and 5pm on Saturday 26 June to enjoy a whole host of wonderful artists exhibiting for Feltonbury.

VENUE 2 - The Old Vicarage - at this year's Feltonbury will be Jo Hume and Nel Hume. Jo told us: "over the years I have shared many 'inspiration seeking' journeys around Northumberland and Yorkshire with my granddaughter Nel, which led us to developing our ideas in abstract and semi abstract forms."
Both their work is full of colour and atmosphere...definitely worth a visit.

'Two months To Go' till 'Feltonbury2026'.

This year's Music and Arts Festival, on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June, has a bigger and more comprehensive line-up, including a wide diversity of artists, poets and musicians across Felton and West Thirston villages.

As usual, the donations will go to fundraising for ‘the Plot’ – now appearing as a venue ‘in its own right’!! To reflect increased costs as well as enhancing the whole ‘Feltonbury’ experience, the entrance donations have increased slightly - £6 for Friday evening and £8 for Saturday; incredible value for 65+ musical acts across 9 venues and numerous artists studios across 8 venues. This ‘feel great’ event has taken yet another ‘step up’ on its way to challenging its ‘southern cousin’, which, coincidentally, has conceded defeat this year!!!

The final version of the music schedule will be posted as soon as possible, however, this first incomplete draft has been added a ‘heads-up’ on how it’s ‘shaping up’, so that you can start to plan your weekend!!

More info to follow - this is just the start!!!

VENUE 1 at Feltonbury this year will host the brilliant Felton Art Group ...15 artists, 15 styles!

The group has been running for 26 years and meets every Wednesday afternoon in the Village Hall to explore individually chosen themes through experimentation, play, laughter and cake ...and discussion with tutor Jo Hume. Currently we are exploring a joint theme: celebrating the opening of the Village Hall in 1926. We hope you will come and see our efforts in an exhibition in the Village Hall between 23rd and 29th August.
For Feltonbury we will be showing our individual artwork at St Michael's church and we hope you'll come and say hello!

Excitement is building for team Feltonbury as preparations continue at a pace for this year's music 🎶 AND arts 🎨 festival! Here's a map (artwork by Felton's brilliant Sarah Farooqi Art) showing all the venues 📍where the fun will take place.

Over the next few weeks we'll introduce you to some of the musical acts and artists so keep an eye out for our posts here and on the website: https://feltonbury.co.uk/

PS copies of the map and all the Feltonbury details will be on the website and available at the events on the Friday 26 June (eve) / Saturday 27 June...make sure it's in your diaries, if you haven't already.

‘Feltonbury2026’ - The music programme is already full, with numerous returning performers, and new acts, attracted to ‘Feltonbury’. The event continues to grow and mature with more than 65 performing acts spread across 9 venues!! A very busy day for everyone involved – but nothing that we can’t manage!!

Forget about going to Glastonbury!! It’s conceded defeat and won’t be happening this year !! You can enjoy a full Feltonbury weekend, before heading to a TV screen as the England Football team have agreed to delay their World Cup fixture kick-off until 10pm on Saturday 27th June.

Another great weekend of music venues and associated arts trail throughout the villages, including Friday 26th June - ‘Picnic in the Park Evening’ @ ‘The Pant House’ & Saturday 27th June – ‘Music Festival and Arts Trail’.

Venues will include Felton Village Hall, Gallery 45, The Bridge, 29,Main Street, The Northumberland Arms, The Pant House, St Michael's Church - and 'The Plot' is a venue, and absolutely ideal venue for acoustic performances to families with young children and bound to be a great hit. After all, 'The Plot' is what the 'Feltonbury' event is all about - fundraising for the Community Allotment along Recreation Lane, This is an increasingly popular location within the community, and is attracting numerous groups, activities and family groups. Use 'Feltonbury2026' as the 'invitation card' to go and have a look at a fabulous space in our midst. There will be an ad-hoc 'busking spot' in Gallery45, called 'The Shower Block' venue!! Because that's where the showers are!! A bit of fun and a 'good-fun' place to play.

We're delighted that the Art Trail is returning to 'Feltonbury' after a few years absence. This is a considerable enhancement to the whole event, and, following meetings with the organisers, the Art Trail will effectively 'link' the music venues and artists' locations into a continuous thread across Felton and the 'Bridge End' area of West Thirston. A map of music venues and artists locations will be created and published in due course. One of the artists' locations will be St Michael's Church - a fantastic space for 'Feltonbury'.

Put the dates in your diaries Friday 26th June - ‘Picnic in the Park Evening’ @ ‘The Pant House’ – (4.30pm – 9.30pm) & Saturday 27th June – ‘Music Festival and Arts Trail’ – (10am – 9pm).
Donation payments will concentrate on the use of the contactless card reader machines, however, cash payments are possible for those who wish to do so. Please note that entrance donation charges will rise this year slightly for the first time since 2016!! More information and details will be available soon.

In the meantime ‘keep an eye’ open for updates on www.feltonbury.co.uk and/or ‘Feltonbury’ ‘Facebook’ page - https://www.facebook.com/Feltonbury511157125750677/
