Three genuinely different Axkid car seats. Three different reasons parents choose them.

🛡️ Minikid 4 Max
The longest-lasting rear-facing option in the range with exceptional legroom and approved up to 125cm/36kg.

💰 Minikid Core
All the essentials of a great rear-facing seat without lower tethers and taking up less space!

This week at the BeSafe VTI safety event in Sweden, we were shown the data comparing rear facing vs forward facing in real crash scenarios… and honestly, the difference is huge.

Rear facing can mean:
→ up to 6x less force on the neck
→ less stress on the rib cage
→ up to 5x lower rotational forces on the brain

Because a rear-facing seat supports the ENTIRE head, neck and spine, instead of throwing those forces forwards into a child’s still developing body.

That’s why I talk about extended rear facing so much.
Not to scare parents.
Not to shame anyone.

But because once you see the research and crash testing behind it, you can’t unsee it.

The legal minimum was never designed to be the gold standard of safety. It’s the minimum.

And every parent deserves to know they have safer options 💜

💥 This is the world’s toughest car seat test. 💥

Inside the VTI crash lab in Linköping, Sweden, I got to witness the BeSafe Stretch2 undergo the Swedish Plus Test. The toughest voluntary crash test in the world for car seats.

Of course, it passed. 👏

Watching this in person as both a car seat specialist and a mum honestly hits differently. Because behind every test dummy is somebody’s child.

This is why I talk so much about extended rear facing.
This is why I’m so passionate about helping parents choose seats that go beyond the legal minimum.
And this is why I only stock brands I truly trust.

Seeing the rig setup, the crash itself, and the engineering behind it all was incredible… and such a reminder that car seat safety is so much more than just picking something that “fits.”

📥 If you’re overwhelmed choosing a seat, that’s exactly what I’m here for 💜

One of the most common questions I get:
“How do I know when they’ve outgrown the infant carrier?”

Turning 1, looking “big”, having bent legs or seeing other babies forward facing does NOT mean they’ve outgrown their seat.

The safest next step depends on:
✔️ your child’s height
✔️ their weight
✔️ your car
✔️ how the seat fits

If you’re unsure, send me:
📏 height
⚖️ weight
🚗 car model
🪑 current seat

…and I’ll help you work out the safest next stage 💜

Every child grows differently, so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to moving up.

Before I recommend a new seat, I always check two things:
👉 Their height centile - this tells me whether a 105cm or 125cm seat is needed to avoid outgrowing a seat too quickly
👉 Their weight centile - because ISOFIX has a combined 33kg limit (child + seat). If your little one is higher on the centile chart, they may need a seat with a 36kg child weight limit.

Then I check vehicle fit, because the safest seat is always the one that fits your child and your car correctly.

Skip either of these steps and you could end up with a seat that your child outgrows too quickly, or one that doesn’t fit your car safely.

Not sure which seat is next for your little one? Pop me a message or book an appointment - I’ll make sure you get it right.

Installing Extended Rear Facing doesn’t have to be complicated…
Axkid Minikid 4 Pro one of the most straightforward ERF seats to install 👌🏼

No ISOFIX restrictions
Just a solid, secure install using the seatbelt + lower tethers

✔️ Swedish Plus Tested (the highest crash test in the world)
✔️ Rear-facing up to 125cm / 36kg
✔️ Two recline positions
✔️ Install further back on seat to give more legroom

And right now… it’s £75 off 👀
Was £395 → NOW £320

If you’ve been putting off going extended rear-facing because you’re worried about installing it… this is your sign.

Save this for when you’re choosing your next seat, and if you want help, just message me your child’s height + weight and I’ll guide you 💜
