Still unable to sandblast because of complications from a broken wrist and finger so I decided that I’d have a go at gold leaf on glass. It’s far from perfect but I’m still pleased with how it turned out and have so many ideas of how I can incorporate it into my work, hopefully it’ll improve once I can use my right hand properly!

Stuck inside, and with my right wrist still in plaster, I decided that I needed to feel pencil on paper so I’ve been practising some left handed drawing. It turned out better than I expected, apparently my grandfather and uncle on my mother’s side were both left handed so I think some of those genes may have got through!

I did 25 of these champagne flutes for the Menier Chocolate Factory, luckily finished before I broke my wrist! I absolutely love this lettering, might be doing some more once I’m allowed to work again…

Thank you so much to everyone that came to the Handmade in Epsom and Ewell Festive Makers’ Marketplace yesterday! It was a really lovely event and so nice to meet so many great people, thanks to everyone that came to buy, chat and say nice things about my glass, everything was so appreciated! ###

A stock and display check for the Handmade in Epsom and Ewell Festive Makers’ Market complete with twinkly lights, come down and see it on Saturday along with the other great stalls, amazing local makers and local choirs, all in aid of the Epsom Foodbank!
