Gael Gloves International Box Cup

Although we previously advised that we would wait until 27th March before making a decision; we have received notification from our NGB that no tournaments will be sanctioned until at least June.

We will provide an update in May on whether it’s possible to reschedule this event for later this year.

If not, we very much hope to see you between Tuesday 30th March - Thursday 1st April 2021 when next year’s tournament will be held. Please save this date!!!

Any clubs that have paid entries fees these will be returned to you shortly.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

All boxing competitions in our region are currently postponed due to a lockdown on all public gatherings for the next fourteen days.

Once more information on the Covid 19 position is available in two weeks time we will make a decision on whether the tournament has to be cancelled or restructured.

We will do everything possible to support the 24 overseas boxers that have signed up and made travel arrangements (including running the tournament without spectators if necessary/possible).

At this juncture we can only surmise what the position might be, but we remain hopeful that we can salvage our 2020 tournament.

However, participant and public safety will be put first and foremost, so please patiently bear with us.

An update/decision will be announced on Friday 27th March.

We thank you for your understanding and patience in the interim.

💥💥💥IABA UPDATE COVID-19💥💥💥

Based on the Advice of the Health Authorities both North & South.

As of Immediate effect all IABA championships, competitions, clubs shows and tournaments to include exhibitions are POSTPONED until futher notice. Details regarding individual club activities will be released later today.

This call has been made with the best interest of everyone involved in our sport.
