A fun afternoon trying some mounted games. Ok most of it was in walk but it’s harder than you might think. I am sure the horses appreciated something different, as did we!

To all my horsey and non horsey friends, Utah, is up for a prize from FFarmstream(who make the camera that recorded the video) for escaping via a nice clean jump over her fence, not bad for a 22 year old retired mare, quite possibly one of her best jumps. Back to Ely Eventing Centre today, with fabulous weather and this time Asha and Darwin. For Darwin’s first time to XC she was absolutely amazing, a complete star. Jumped ditches, up and down steps, through water and any jump in front of her. Asha was also pretty good! Can’t wait to get back there again.

Took Asha and Nelly to Ely Eventing Centre. Nelly was a pro at ditches and steps, she just wasn’t bothered and as for Asha, couldn’t keep her out of the water, she also got her confidence on the steps although the larger ditch caused a somewhat larger than expected cat leap!

Katie had some fun today taking two of the young ponies for some first time dressage at Fenning Farm (well second time for Darwin, but last time she didn’t really get far as she froze down the centre line and that was the end of the test). Both well behaved today and showing great progress.

With the great weather we’ve had loads of pony time over the past couple of weeks with lessons, jumping and hacking. Somehow we ended up with three ponies that didn’t really get contact so we‘ve been working hard on this...

Took the boys (Apache and Rosco) to Little Lodge Farm in Thetford Forest to have a play in the river and hack around the forest trails. Took a bit of convincing but they did take the plunge!
