❗️Important SFA Guideline & Protocol Changes❗️
Hi Everyone,
As you may have seen after Wednesday's announcement from the Scottish Government that there are strict and important changes to our game which came into effect 6PM yesterday and will in place until the 25/10 at the earliest.
The SFA has reconsidered the how the game will be allowed to play across the nation resulting in Over-18 football to come to a halt in the area covered by the Lothian Health Board. All football activity is not permitted during this period.
With this said there have been some exemptions made for the professional game so that football may continue/restart, within these leagues which are exempt includes the East of Scotland leagues that our 1s compete in. Thankfully this has been allowed to happen as today is the first weekend of the new season with Heriot-Watt facing Burntisland Shipyard at home - good luck lads!
Scottish Government travel guidance is that individuals who live in a high risk local health board area should not travel outside their health board area. This guidance applies for players travelling for training or matches.
As frustrating as these changes are, they are in place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, more specifically tackling it within the central belt as the number of reported cases have increased to the point which action is necessary to suppress the virus.
We as a club will be working closely with the Sports Union to ensure the return of football when the time comes, with hopefully seeing the return of training and the Sunday 5-a-side games in two weeks. We will keep you updated with any changes and news from the Sports Union.

Any questions regarding the changes, upcoming sessions, going to the Oriam or anything else please don't hesitate to get in touch with any of us.
Stay safe,
Aonghus
