A huge thank you to McGhee’s Bakery for donating their delicious empire biscuits and caramel tarts for the volunteers who helped make this year’s Edinburgh Tartan Parade such a success!

Tartan Tuesday? We’re still buzzing! 🎶⚽️ After a long-awaited return to the World Cup, seeing Scotland kick off their campaign with a win, and a memorable public holiday 😉… the excitement is still going strong!

It’s only a few hours from the moment we’ve waited 28 years for… Scotland are back at the World Cup! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

To mark the occasion, we wanted to give a special shout out to the Edinburgh Tartan Army, who proudly marched in this year’s Edinburgh Tartan Parade. It was fantastic to see such passion and support on display, and we’re sure many of the group will now be in Boston to cheer on the team in person.

Best of luck to Scotland as they begin their World Cup campaign, and to every member of the Tartan Army following them every step of the way.

No Scotland. No Party. 🎉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Here’s a wee throwback to Scotland team manager Steve Clarke giving a wee speech at the post parade after party. And what can we say... No Scotland, No Party! 🎉💙

A huge congratulations to 14-year-old Cailean, who plays with Preston Lodge High School Pipe Band and the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland, for his phenomenal performance as the lone piper at Edinburgh Castle. As the front of the Parade departed from City Chambers on the Royal Mile, Cailean was playing from the Castle Esplanade at that exact moment, creating a truly special and symbolic send-off for thousands of participants taking part in the day. It was a unique moment in time, connecting two iconic locations at the very start of the Parade.

The significance of the occasion was also recognised by the Right Honourable Lord Provost of Edinburgh during his speech at the Mercat Cross, where he kindly referenced Cailean’s role in sending off the Parade. Many thanks for the wonderful shoutout and recognition of this special moment.

A special thank you to Dan Morey and the Edinburgh Castle team for helping make this moment possible.

Heartfelt thanks also to Graeme Watt, 8 Acre Films, for producing this footage and for supporting the Edinburgh Tartan Parade, alongside a fantastic team of camera operators and drone crew Captured Above Scotland 👏

What a wonderful way to mark one month since such a special day! ❤️🎶

Can you believe it’s been almost four weeks since the 2026 Edinburgh Tartan Parade? ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We’re still smiling at the memories of thousands of people coming together in the heart of Edinburgh to celebrate tartan, culture, community, music and dance.

To everyone who marched, performed, volunteered, sponsored, supported, and cheered from the sidelines - a massive thank you again! You helped create something truly special.

As we look back through the photographs and videos, we’re reminded that the Edinburgh Tartan Parade is about so much more than tartan. It’s about bringing people together and celebrating the connections that unite us.

Who else is already looking forward to 2027? ✨
