A final post from The Folk Film Gathering 2023. Thank you to everyone who has attended and everyone who has participated. We have two last screenings to go. Tonight our Ukrainian programme closes with a 2nd screening of AMULET (19:00, Grassmarket Community Project). Tomorrow we screen Luke Fowler's BEING IN A PLACE (19:00, Scottish Storytelling Centre) with a music performance from Bell Lungs. Thank you to Screen Scotland, Creative Scotland, Cameo Cinema, Довженко-Центр : Dovzhenko Centre, and Transgressive North for helping make this festival happen. See you next year!

So The Folk Film Gathering 2023 is almost at an end. Just two remaining screenings. On Weds 28/06 at 19:00, you have a second chance to see the Ukrainian folk horror-infused psychological thriller AMULET at the Grassmarket Community Project. And on Thurs 29/06 at 19:00, Luke Fowler's BEING IN A PLACE closes the festival at the Scottish Storytelling Centre.

Today's final screening Cameo Cinema from The Folk Film Gathering 2023 was a special screening of Moira Armstrong's beautiful TV adaptation of Roddy McMillan's stage play THE BEVELLERS, about a group of men working in a small glass-bevelling business south of Glasgow. It was made even more special by Seán Gray's exceptional 4-song set of Lalland Scots folk songs that introed the screening.
