Come and gather!
In every moment there is opportunity, there is the freshness of the moment whispering through the birdsong, the land, the ocean waves and flight of hawk, there is secrets in the silence.
It is good to see the growth of these new kind of festivals, with their different flavours, festivals where drinks and drugs are not the main focus, but there is a longing for something deeper.
Now there is something for every flavour, there is the one for part time Buddhists, there are the pagan druid ones, there are the ones for the trippers, the leather hat donned folk that like to trip into different realms, there are the ones for the younger hippy folk, with their trance music and dreams of another dimension.
So many flavours, so many ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
It feels like we have been planting these seeds for many moons now, and indeed it has, at least 15 years, we have been weaving our webs of connection, Like the clouds in the sky and the songs on the wind, everything comes and goes, we have babies born and conceived, love affairs nurtured and lost, we have had marriages and many deaths now, many friends have passed, that have been right at the heart of these communities, never mind those on the edges who weave us to all beings.
This year at Intothewild we want to honour those dear friends who we miss and love, our family of friends that have we have shared times around the fire and under the moon together.
People have fallen out and fallen in love again, like all villages, we have seen houses burn down and new ones being built, We have heard the laughter and cry of the young ones , the tears of the elders, the strength and longing of youth and the love songs of mothers and fathers, we have seen so many seasons.
We do not forget, and we live to remember everyone, no matter how small, how quiet, how meek or strong, we remember the good times and we invoke the spirit of something so much bigger than ourselves. We together will weave a huge shrine of remembrance, a dreaming, a lovers call, a howl of midnight, a dream of the wild for all beings, not just the humans, but the feathered and furred, the scaled and four legged, the winged and lovers of the night.
Bring your offerings, bring your songs, your praise and grief, your jade tears and honeyed words, so we all jump up and live again!
