If you're thinking about joining us for this year's Run the Blades, you'd better hurry.

With 10 weeks to go, the 50K is already sold out (50 more than last year - which was our previous largest field) and we've moved to a waiting list for that event. You can join the waiting list via the link below.

While there are still places available in the 10K on the Friday evening and the Half Marathon on the Sunday, places are shifting really quickly so get a move on. 😀

**Meet Run the Blades Ambassador: Stevie McKenna**

If you've ever been a part of Run the Blades, there's a good chance you've seen this familiar face. He's the dude with the beard, the smile and (very often) the camera. He's also the guy who grew a running following on Instagram from 0 followers in February to over 10,000 in six months!

Stevie's running journey is nothing short of inspiring, from overcoming injuries to running ultra-marathons, all while balancing life as a dad. His passion for the sport, commitment to the RTB community, and relentless drive to push his limits make him a key part of the RTB family.

He's supported the event for years, ran the triple last year, has volunteered at the event loads of times and pulled us out of a not small pile of s**t when he stepped in to do photographs at the Night One this year and then again at the full event in July.

Run the Blades is turning 10 in 2025!

A lot has happened since 2015. From starting with 44 runners at the inaugural Run the Blades 50K to becoming one of the bigger UK trail running weekends, we've survived a global pandemic, introduced The Night One to Whitelee and been one of Event Scotland's supported events. And we've had some weather!

Run the Blades has such an incredible community: from the volunteers and staff who give out the medals, stand at the checkpoints and cheer you all the way; to the unseen work that goes on from the ScottishPower Renewables team; to the Whitelee Countryside Rangers who make sure that the site is ready for us. And then there's the RTB running community! It's one of the consistent bits of feedback I get about the event weekend. You're supportive, encouraging, inspirational, kind and we're pretty bloody glad we met you all!

Early bird entries open on Friday 4th October but as a thank you for the past decade, we're offering a bigger discount if you sign up to our newsletter before Friday 27th September when we'll email out the early-early bird link .
