Twas the night before Durham Christmas Festival glitters all through the house. The creatures are hiding...even the mouse.
The wreaths are all hung, on our stall with care In hopes craft fair visitors will soon be there.
The ribbons were ironed, the bases all green, The price tags attached, to each beautiful scene.
The glue gun was cooling, the pinecones asleep, While visions of customers danced in my deep.
Thoughts of the morrow, the crowd and the buzz, Praying my work would bring joy as it does.
Each season, a sparkle on every dear face, Beneath the cathedral's magnificent space.
I checked on the stand, the lights and the sign, Ensuring each piece of my display would just shine.
With Durham awaiting, I pulled up the duvet, Dreaming of sale and the joy of the holiday!
