Don't miss out on this fabulous Christmas Festival in the heart of Durham... you've still got a few weeks to apply for a place in the Craft & Producers' Marquee! Sign up for your place now (link below) and you could be joining us and thousands of shoppers over the first weekend in December this year!

And if you're not a trader ... but know someone who should be there, then make sure they know about this and get their Expression of Interest sent in.

We're really excited to start asking for Expressions of Interest to trade at Durham Christmas Festival 2026 😁😁😁

This year's Christmas Festival will run from Friday 4th through to Sunday 6th December. We'd love to hear from any traders interested in joining us in the Craft & Producers' Marquee on Palace Green or in the Streetfood Market behind that Marquee.

A huge thank you to everyone who has visited Durham Christmas Festival today - we've had a fabulous day! And tomorrow, Sunday is our last day - and your last chance to visit the festival.

Here's who you'll find on Sunday in Durham Market Place ... in our Festive Outdoor Market!

It's a fabulous market line up - loads of stalls, all small local businesses, loads of chances for you to find the perfect gifts, Christmas jumpers, to pick up a hot drink ... or to pick up a take away burger!

Today is SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY ... a day where we remind you how good it is to shop with small independent businesses.

And Durham Christmas Festival is all about small independent businesses. Many of the businesses at the festival are from the North East. There are about 40 of them in Durham Market Place, and 120 more in the Craft & Producers' Marquee on Palace Green.

So thank you in advance for shopping with all these small independent businesses - because every penny spent with them, helps them to spend with other local businesses. It's genuinely good for all of us and great for the city of Durham.
