Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in exhibiting their vehicles at this year's Classic Car Show on 31st August in Durham city centre. 🚗

We've been inundated with requests! So much so that we have had to close the Expressions of Interest form a few days earlier than advertised, as there are so many to go through.

We will review the applications over the next few weeks and get in touch with you if you are successful. We provide an update once we have contacted those who have been selected, so you know the selection process is finished.

It has come to our attention that there are scammers at work, making out that they are involved with the Durham Classic Car Show and asking people to get in touch with them about various opportunities at the event. 😡

Please do not contact anyone but ourselves, and if anyone gets in touch with you who doesn't have either an official Durham Classic Car Show or Durham Markets email address, claiming to be able to offer you trading opportunities, please just ignore and delete/block them.

Unfortunately, due to the space restrictions, we will not have the space for any traders (other than the cars that have registered and been approved to exhibit) at this event.

Save the date… Bank Holiday Monday, 31st August is set to be another incredible day packed with vintage style, roaring engines, and timeless classics in the heart of Durham City!

Got a classic car you’d love to show off? Expressions of Interest are NOW OPEN!

🚙💨 The cars are all in place, and the crowds have gathered. This can only mean one thing... the Durham Classic Car Show is in full swing!

🚘 If you're making your way into the city to see the cars, you will find lots of beautiful examples up at Palace Green, outside Durham Market Hall, and on Elvet and Framwellgate bridges.

🚕 Not sure where to park? The Belmont and Sniperley Park & Rides are open today - this will be your cheapest option. However, if you would prefer to park within the centre, there are numerous car parks to choose from, including the Prince Bishops, Walkergate, Riverwalk, and The Sands multi-storeys.

⏰🏁 Today's the day we've all been waiting for... it's Durham Classic Car Show day!!! ⏰ 🏁

🚗💨 If you're not already in the city, make your way in, as, starting at 11am, you can feast your eyes on a wide selection of classic cars! Up on Palace Green, you will find lots of American classics, including Chevrolets and Mustangs. 🚙💨

🚐 Make your way to the Market Place and you will find cars across many decades of the 20th century, including a 1936 Morris 8, a classic Mini, an MGA Roadster, a Porsche Carrera, and one of only 10 remaining (in the UK) Austin 3 Litre Automatics.

🚘 On the Elvet and Framwellgate bridges, you will find superb examples of MGs, just waiting to be shown off by their proud owners.

🚕 So come along, chat to the owners, soak up the atmosphere, and spend time in car heaven for a few hours!

The cars will be on display from 11 o'clock 🕚 until 4pm 🕓 today!

🚗💥 Only three more sleeps to go… and then the engines will be rumbling once again! 💥🚗

The Durham Classic Car Show is back this Bank Holiday Monday (25th August) from 11am–4pm, and we can’t wait to fill the city with vintage vibes, gleaming chrome, and the roar of motoring history.

From the Market Place to Palace Green, and across Framwellgate and Elvet Bridges, Durham will be packed with jaw-dropping classic cars from all eras, all set against an iconic Northeast backdrop.

🕘 FREE entry, family-friendly, and always a highlight of the summer. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just love a good day out, it's not to be missed!

See you there – polish those bonnets and charge those cameras! 📸
