This year, the Dunoon Ultra is proud to be raising money for Crossroads Young Carers and Crossroads Caring for Carers Cowal & Bute.
Every day, unpaid carers provide vital support to family members and loved ones, often putting the needs of others before their own. Their contribution is enormous – unpaid carers save Scotland an estimated £13.1 billion every year, and around £162 billion across the UK.
Crossroads supports carers of all ages across Cowal & Bute, including:
• 536 adult carers
• 186 young carers aged 5–24
Their services provide practical support, advocacy, wellbeing activities, social opportunities, home visits, counselling access, respite opportunities, and a vital lifeline for carers living in remote and rural communities.
As a local charity, every pound raised stays within Cowal & Bute, helping ensure carers receive the support, recognition and opportunities they deserve.
During Carers Week, we want to shine a light on the incredible work carers do and the essential support that Crossroads provides throughout our community.
All donations will be split equally between Crossroads Young Carers and Crossroads Caring for Carers. Donations can be made on EntryCentral during sign up, on the day at Crossroads’ exciting tombola stall, or at the JustGiving link below 👇
