WAKEY WAKEY, RISE AND DDE SHINE … YOU’VE GOT A PARTY TO GET READY FOR!

IT'S HERE! TODAY IS DDE DAY! ... and it feels amazing to be writing that! It’s time to get ready, it’s time to phone your mates and say, what are you wearing, time are we going out, what venue are we going to first? It’s time to get excited!

Before that though - there’s some handy stuff to know and important admin to get out of the way first so you can have the best day possible.

☮️FIRST UP ...
The safety and well-being of DDE goers is our number one priority. We want you to be have a great time but be safe! Pacing yourselves so you last the whole day is the name of the game… the Closing Party awaits you!

Tickets will remain on sale up until doors open or until they sell out. There are a few tickets left in Threads in Commercial Street which is open today and a limited amount of pay at the door spaces will be kept aside as we know some people decide at the last-minute to go along to Fat Sams.

☮️BE SAFE AND LOOK AFTER YOUR MATES ...
Please drink responsibly, party safe, look out for each other and take time out at some point during the day to have something to eat and drink some water to keep you hydrated - it’ll help you last the pace and get the most from your day.

☮️BRING ID ...
Dundee Dance Event is for age 18 and above only, so management in each venue reserves the right to refuse admission. They operate the Challenge 25 system so be prepared to be asked for ID.

If you look young - bring your ID with you. No refunds will be given at the Closing Party if you’re refused entry for not having ID or for any other reason.

If you feel unwell at one of the venues, please alert a member of staff straight away so they can assist you.

☮️BE NICE ...
DDE works closely with Police Scotland, the Council, various security companies and a big team of DDE staff to help you enjoy your day in a safe environment.

Last year you created an amazing atmosphere around town with no trouble, we want to keep it that way so DDE is around for many years to come. Given the huge numbers in town drinking for most of the day, that was something you can be proud of.

☮️DDE DAYTIME VENUES
There are 27 fantastic daytime venues all over the city centre that you can attend, so if you find one at capacity, check the DDE App and see where you can go to next.

Now that’s out of the way … we can get down to the matter in hand and that’s to have an absolute stomper of a DDE day!

Make sure to get down early as every venue will be bouncin! We’ll be taking over from Chris Boyle @ 10PM to see the night off.

DDE 2023 COMPETITION

It’s the return of the DDE competition and we yet again have some tasty prizes up for grabs courtesy of some of our partners, sponsors and DDE venues, plus a very special prize courtesy of DJ Hannah Laing.
