Easter Biker Egg Run

Easter Biker Egg Run Dundee's annual Easter Biker Egg Run. Bringing springtime fun, chocolate eggs and cash to local charities and worthy causes.

Easter Saturday, 16th April, meeting from 11am at Scotriders Training School, 74 East Dock Street, Dundee, DD1 3LH. We'd appreciate if those attending could bring along a chocolate egg and a fiver which will be donated to the various charities we are supporting this year including Spectrum care club for autistic kids and TCCL who specialise in supporting families in Tayside who have a child that h

as been diagnosed with either cancer or leukaemia. There shall be a burger van, so you can have a bite too eat and something to drink while catching up with everyone and checking out all the bikes there. After a brief announcement about how the run is going to be marshalled this year and how you can all help it run smoothly we will be departing at 1pm. Though we won't have a full police es**rt as we have had in the past they shall still be assisting us where possible along the route which is going to be a completely new for this year. (See other post for proposed route map)

Dressing up as Easter bunnies, chicks, decorating your bikes and Easter 'bunnet' helmets is optional but the more that do the better the spectacle for all who see us out on the road and for the kids who will be awaiting us and the end of the run at Kingsway Farm, where there shall be bouncy castles, disco, games and face painting for the kids. Hope to see you all there to help bring some two wheeled spring cheer to very worthy causes and for a great feel good day.

The eggs were distributed to the wards at RVH and Roxburghe House.
The money raised was split between RVH (£265) and Blood Bikes Scotland (£276)

Huge thanks to the hundred and odd people who came along to Scotriders today for Dundee's annual Easter Biker Egg Run.
It was great to see over 75 bikes, given the forecast. But apart from a light drizzle on the way up, Storm Dave held off for us.

Special thanks to Wee John and his crew of Marshals, and Greg and Steve of Tayside Police for es**rting the ride.

Thanks to Glynn and Reece for getting all the bikes parked up.

Big thanks to Jill Muirhead for collecting the eggs and cash donations.
£541 was collected, with £265 going to RVH and £276 to Blood Bikes Scotland. The eggs were handed into RVH and Roxburghe House wards.

Thanks to Scott and the other Bloodbikers who came along to support the run and chat with folk.

Thanks to Mark and the lads from Andys Man Club for coming along and chatting with some of those attending.

And thanks to Elliot and his Mum at Kooks & Ko catering for providing a great selection of food and drinks.

We hope to see you all again next year.

P.S. If anyone knows of a large area of tarred or concrete land in Dundee, which is available for sale or lease and would be suitable for Scotriders as a new training site could you please give them a shout.

Well tomorrow is the big day. And it looks like we'll be home and bikes back in bed before Storm David shows his face.
Please remember to bring along an Easter egg for the patients up at Royal Victoria Hospital and Roxburghe House.
And if you can afford a fiver, all money raised will be split between Tayside Bloodbikes and The Brain Injury Unit at RVH.
We've got a big Easter Egg for the best dressed rider/decorated bike, so feel free to make an effort.
I have been reliably informed that we shall definitely have the Kooks & Ko burger van there tomorrow to keep you fed and watered while you wait. (Barring any breakdowns)

Another great Easter Egg run with 86 bikes turning up today. RVH received £517 and Blood Bikes £270 plus £250 from paypal donations. Lots of Easter eggs handed out to all wards at Victoria Hospital and Roxburgh House. Eggs were also handed into Freyas Wish for their Easter event tomorrow.
Big well done to everyone involved👏🐰🐣

Great turnout today. Big thanks to all who turned up, hope you all had a great run.
We raised £711, £365 to blood bikes and £346 to RVH. All wards in RVH and Roxburgh House received eggs and Freyas Wish also received eggs. There was around 170 eggs.

Less than two weeks until this years Easter Run 🐣
It's time to think about how you're gonna be decorating your helmet and bike.
The Famous Kitchen will be there to serve hot food and drink from 11am until we set off at 1pm.
Please remember to bring along a fiver and a chocolate Easter egg for the charities.
This year the local Blood Bikes and RVH Brain Injury Unit will be sharing the money raised, and the eggs will be distributed between various wards at RVH and other worthy causes.
