Arts D&G Scotland's largest rural performing arts festival and year-round touring organisation.

Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival supports people in some of the region’s most rural areas to experience world class performing arts. We bring the best local and national artists to our communities; we invest in our performing artists; introduce our young people to live performance and engage people of all ages, from all walks of life, with our imaginative programme. We are the only region wide performing arts organisation in Dumfries & Galloway and our work incorporates three key strands: the 10-day Festival, Arts Live - our year round performance programme supporting our regional network of venues, artists and promoters and Stage iT - our youth performing arts project. Our 2021 Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival, Hame’ll Dae Me, ran from the 16th – 25th July but our year round Arts Live programme features an exciting line up of artists for you to enjoy.

🎬 ONE BUM CINEMA CLUB IS COMING TO DUMFRIES & GALLOWAY!

What started life as a tiny one-person cinema inside an under-stairs cupboard is now hitting the road! 🍿

One Bum Cinema Club invites you to enjoy a brand-new selection of short, family-friendly animated films, bringing brilliant animation and emerging talent to communities across the region.

Brainchild of artist Anna Vartiainen and brought to life by Paulie Musselwhite and Matthew Simkins, this travelling micro-cinema is all about making animation accessible, playful and free for everyone.

The only rule is... one bum at a time!

Do you have an ambitious creative project you'd love to develop, but need a little extra support to make it happen?

Support for Ambition is here to help. Through the scheme, Arts D&G offers up to £1,000 in financial support, alongside mentoring and professional development support, to help artists, makers and creative practitioners develop new work, explore ideas and take the next step in their creative practice.

📌 Decisions announced by 5th October

WE WILL HEAR THE ANGELS by Magnetic North is coming to New Galloway Town Hall, on the 12th of September, as part of Arts Live 11 🩵

A tender and immersive piece of theatre exploring heartbreak, loneliness, melancholy and the strange power of music to bring us together.

Performed by an ensemble of five actor-musicians, the show combines words, movement and live music, featuring songs from Hank Williams, Orange Juice, Etta James, Moondog, J.S. Bach and more.
