Biofluorescence is the phenomenon where organisms absorb high-energy, short-wavelength light.

🎶 A huge thank you to Stealth Competitions for sponsoring our Sunday stages!

Thanks to their support, we filled our stages at Fountain Square and Supper Club with a full day of fantastic music and choirs. From close to home performances like Troqueer Primary, Dumfries male voice choir to the wonderful Carlisle Community Choir, and our very own Dumfries Community Choir, it was a real celebration of talent.

An uplifting day of music, community and atmosphere – we couldn’t have done it without you. 💙

On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th January, Dumfries Table Tennis Club joined us at the Family Hub with a brilliant activity – table tennis in the dark 🏓✨

The sessions were really well attended, and we hope some of you discovered a new hobby along the way!

A huge thank you to Dumfries Table Tennis Club for supporting our vision of opening up Family Hub activities to the wider community. We loved seeing families getting involved and having fun together 💙

Another local business we’d like to thank for lighting up their window is Elevenses

They’ve taken inspiration from the Robert Burns poem ‘Tae a Moose’ to create a beautiful display as part of our light trail.

It’s been fantastic to see so much creativity and care go into lighting up Dumfries — thank you for helping our town shine 🌟

How good is this Rabbie Burns foot stool cover? Pattern created by the owner and member of our lovely choir, Dumfries Community Choir.

Have you seen any other shop windows joining in with Burns Themed windows?
